Hi Danielle, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
The foundation of this celestial work is to spark the spirit! I struggled my entire life to understand who I am and that’s what led me to Astrology. As someone who constantly second-guessed and doubted themselves, I was plagued by the harmful patterns of people-pleasing and codependency. For most of my life, I would abandon myself for the acceptance and validation of someone else. This only brought me heartache, defeat, and loneliness. Exploring my natal chart changed all of that for me.

Astrology is a practice of knowing and being the true self, not who you think everyone wants to needs you to be. Collectively, especially after COVID-19, many communities are plagued with mistrust, disconnection, and fear. We hide our light from each other when, in reality, so many of us crave authentic relationships. We are starving for them. We want to be real with each other and must practice this.

The only way we can show up as ourselves with each other and heal this collective discord is by going inward and healing the discord in ourselves. Low self-worth and self-doubt make it incredibly difficult to be vulnerable with each other. We first need to understand, accept, and love the truth of who we are before we can show up with more compassion for someone else. As we make room for all the things that make us different, we make room for the differences in others.

By exploring Astrology and your natal chart, you focus solely on the beauty of who you are and everything that makes you unique. What I love about my work is I have a tool that allows me to see what exactly makes you special, and encourage you to lean into that expression rather than hide it. When you see your energy dynamics written in the stars through the natal chart, you stop telling yourself that something is wrong with you and embrace all you are here to be. It’s liberating.

Many people don’t feel satisfied with their jobs or relationships. Much of our energy goes towards avenues that aren’t bringing us closer to the lives we truly desire to live. We are so good at prioritizing our suffering and not so good at prioritizing our joy. Sparky Spirit is about igniting your heart and fueling that fire inside, showing you the way to a life of true fulfillment.

Perhaps it sounds a bit Utopian, but through my work, I desire to create a collective where everyone is motivated by their passion, purpose, and pleasure—one sparky spirit at a time.

What should our readers know about your business?
Entrepreneurship has been such an amazing journey. I wouldn’t trade it for any other career path. My dad was an entrepreneur and I was inspired by the love, motivation, and hard work that went into his business. I think I got that somewhere in my DNA!

Sparky Spirit is a soul expression. My work is crafted from the heart. I combine the fields of spirituality, psychology, and quantum physics to share the often cryptic and confusing nature of Astrology in a way that is practical and makes sense. I desire you to apply these cosmic insights into your life for growth, healing, and alignment with your truth. My background education in forensic psychology has supported me in exploring the mind and behavior patterns, specifically. I commonly discuss anxiety, depression, addiction, and other psychological challenges as they relate to the natal chart. I help people connect the mind with the spirit.

Even though I’m an Astrologer and in the spiritual community, I am a skeptic! I did not take a leap of faith into this modality, and actually, science led me here. Most people aren’t aware of our very tangible connections to the stars. As soon as you begin to explore Quantum Physics, it’s easy to understand how the happenings in our solar system affect life on Earth. Did you know that a photon (light particle) touching your skin at this very moment came from the surface of the Sun only eight minutes ago? So, I find myself connecting with more logical people who wish to explore spirituality but just can’t quite get on board without some verifiable facts and information.

By far, I am most proud of myself for believing in my voice and sharing myself with others. I have broken the mold, stepped out of the status quo, and found my personal freedom in doing so. Now, I see so much more of what is possible and available to anyone who chooses to follow their hearts over the voices of others.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would for sure go to the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff! Pluto was discovered there. We would also spend at least one night out hiking/camping in Sedona. I’d also take my friend to experience the many wonderful offerings in this area, including weekly sound healing on Friday nights and ecstatic dance on Sunday mornings.

My friend would definitely have to try my favorite Chai latte from the local tea place in town. They make it from scratch! I would also get my local friends together for a dinner & game night. Regarding food, I love to eat out (it’s a problem). So we would probably try all kinds of places in town. My all-time favorite is Dehli Palace—they have killer Indian food (who would have thought Flagstaff, Arizona, would be home to the best Indian food I’ve tried!)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Where do I even begin? I am surrounded by a group of entrepreneurial women who continually uplift and support each other. The Beauty Boost is an organization that connected me to my local community and these women. So, shoutout to that organization! I also have invested quite a bit in coaching for myself as I learn the business world. Molly Odell. a local business coach and friend in Flagstaff, was a huge support for me in the beginning stages of my business, as well as the Energetic Alignment Academy (EAA).

Also, shoutout to my mom for always encouraging me in my pursuits of living a bigger and brighter life.
