“It’s all rigged in your favor.”, it means everything to me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

I’ve spent the past 7 years studying and cultivating marijuana plants for both medicinal and recreational purposes. In that time, I invested a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (from the failed blooms!) and mastered growing not only indoors, but also outdoors from perfect spring temperatures, to searing summer heat, to chilly Arizona-winters.

Things really changed for me when Arizona enacted recreational marijuana growing. I went from grower to entrepreneur to inventor. Capitalizing on the new outdoor growing law, I recognized people didn’t have the tools necessary to grow outdoors, mainly because growing was illegal and people didn’t want to be caught with plants outdoors.

My experience has shown planting outdoors is a fantastic way to grow a huge bounty of plants inexpensively and safely, presenting an opportunity. That’s when I used my growing experience and creativity to create the first, patented, outdoor grow hut. Since we introduced it last March, the consumer demand has been on fire.

The challenges never stop when you’re growing a brand. Acquiring seeds for my grow huts at first was not an easy task, so I traveled around the country to establish a network of reliable seed growers and sources. This led me to starting my own seed distribution business where I sell seeds to aspiring growers and even impart my years of wisdom in growing plants to them.

In the cannabis space, at least until the new laws, licenses and permits come, you’re constantly finding a new way while building on the old way. If you’re good at staying busy and love new challenges, you would do well in the cannabis industry.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
They say “It takes a village to raise a child”, well…it takes the same to build a business sometimes. I would say all the people surrounding me are the village.
