We had the good fortune of connecting with Deborah Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deborah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I absolutely fell in love with the auction and estate sale industry in 2013 ,when my best friend’s talented son asked if I would like to join him in his new auction house venture. That’s when I knew I found the my niche in the world of business. After a couple of years I was recruited by then Arizona’s premier auction house and learned so much in the four years with them, Unfortunately, I found myself jobless in 2019 when the auction house filed for bankruptcy, leaving clients and employees in the lurch. It was at that time that I knew I had a passion assisting those in transition and that I could make a difference for them on my own. I decided that I could serve clients by connecting them with the best auction and estate sale options without fear of them losing their profits from their hard earned possessions. The Az Auctionista was created for clients in transition with needs best served in the international auction, estate sales, and appraisal world..
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Assisting clients in transistion has been part of my dna from years as a fitness coach/personal trainer teaching clients how to lead more of a heatlhy lifestyle to assisting clients in finding new homes for their valuable treasures through international auction and estate sales to obtain the best financial outcome possible with the least amount of stress. The goal for the business is to understand that each clients need is unique and must be tailored to a course of action that results in the highest monetary return as possible.

What sets my business apart from others is that I am with the client from beginning to end . Many clients come to us in transistion , whether a loved one has passed , or they are downsizing or just need to expand their cash flow, I am with our clients from beginning to end to assist them in what is often considered a stressful situation .
I tell each client that if we can not help them that I will someone who can.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I absolutely love our beautiful state of Arizona and love sharing it with visitors. One of my favorite places is Sedona and the breathtaking Grand Canyon. The train ride from Williams, Arizona to the Grand Canyon is breathtakingly beautiful with scenic views chocked full of wildlife . We love staying at El Tovar Lodge ,located directly on the rim of the Grand Canyon is cosidered the crown jewel of the Historic National Park Lodges with each room unique in name , identity and decor Another can’t miss destination is Sedona known for it’s magestic red rock scenery and it’s regenerative and inspirational effects it seems to have on visitors.Starting the day off with breakfast at the always busy Coffee Pot Restaurant then taking The Pink Jeep tour through the magnificent red rocks is always a hit with visitors. My very favorite hotel in Sedona is El Portal owned by famiy friends and located next to Tlaquepaque Arts and Craft Visslge. Each room is uniquely decorated and the ourdoor community area offers firepits for evening gatherings . It’s magical!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In 2013 , my best friend’s son, Bo Patrick, struck out on his own as an auctioneer and asked if I would be interested in assisting him in his business. What I learned during my time with him is beyond invaluable and will always be grateful to that young man . I have great admiration and feelings of pride when I see the empire he is building .
