We had the good fortune of connecting with December Reign and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi December, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I initially began my business it started as just a hobby because my career field has always been healthcare. I was a nurse and during the pandemic the medical field was transformed and it just wasn’t what I had originally signed up for anymore. I took a leave and found myself bored at home and needed  something to do to fill my time. It began with just making rings and crystal candles. It expanded to a  clothing brand and metaphysical shop. Now I sell everything from incense to abalone shells. When I  started advertising my jewelry on models it changed my life. Now I also model my own products with  the help of some of the best in the industry.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

Honestly when it comes to creativity I have learned that it doesn’t matter what you make or sell because there are at least 50 people in the world making the same thing. The thing that sets your products apart from others is YOU! I feel as though my personality and spirit push my brand and make me stronger as a  

person in comparison to others selling the same things. My items are all hand poured and made with love. This is not going to be a gift from a factory with no face. This is a family home based made-to-order business that is minority/women/veteran owned. We also give back to the community with creative events to help promote the brands of other creatives as well. In order to make my business the success it is today took hard work and effort but this was a team effort. I have a great support system and we continue to brainstorm items to feature in the shop. We have a new candle that you can customize a  secret message to be revealed. That has been out best seller. It was just a small idea that has made a  huge impact in sales. I can’t wait to release the next line of products!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

First I would like to shoutout God because without Him I wouldn’t be here today.

Second I would like to Thank Kai my fiancée for always standing by my side no matter what and allowing me the ability to take time off and follow my dreams. She has been my rock from the beginning and has been there from me and helped me overcome every obstacle. She is literally an angel in my life and I am  so happy to have made it this far but I couldn’t have done anything without her. I love you baby! 

I would like to give a shoutout to my stylist and posing coordinator Darien-James Kawayt @DJKawayt for his kindness and willingness to help me grow as a model. He is truly inspiring and has kept me grounded throughout the explosive expansion of my career as a model and business owner.
