Meet Destini Munoz | Licensed Esthetician Skin Therapist & Certified Body Sculpting Specailist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Destini Munoz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Destini, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
The whole mission behind D LUX ESTHETICS, is to help individuals feel confident in the skin their in. I have done my absolute best to create an environment for the community that is a safe place to talk about skin concerns and come up with individualized treatment plans to help reach specified goals regarding skin disorders and body treatments. With creating an environment specifically for this, my hope is that I can leave a positive impact on the community with just showing that it is available in our small town.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is called D LUX ESTHETICS, LLC. My name is Destini Munoz and a few years ago I suffered with Cystic Grade IV Acne. Having adult acne came with so many struggles for me. I tried EVERYTHING to help subside my acne and I did a lot of research. In the midst of it all I ended up falling in love with skin and the way it works. I turned my pain into my passion and became Licensed Esthetician Skin Therapist and Body Sculpting Specialist. I am currently located in Safford, Arizona. The purpose of my business is to provide ethical, result driven skincare and body enhancement treatments and services to the Gila Valley and surrounding areas. One thing I am extremely proud of is being a Hispanic Business Owner as well as being a woman entrepreneur. Being a business owner has not been easy, it has required a lot of work, consistency and dedication, but it’s been well worth it. I would do it a million times over. An important lesson I’ve learned on my journey is to pause if you need to, but never stop because good things come to those who work hard.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people that I can list for this but I know I want to give a huge shoutout to my husband, Juan. One day I told him I wanted to quit my job and go to school to become and Esthetician and this wonderful man never once doubted me. Has never once complained about having to step up and practically take over all the roles and duties at home while I was in school. He was and still is so supportive in all I do.
Another special shoutout goes to my siblings, Beyonce, Francisco and Julian for always being there when I need them and making sure my kids were well taken care of on days my husband worked so I could be at ease.
Lastly, the biggest shoutout goes to my Mom. She’s helped me in more ways than I can even list but the most important thing she’s done to help me, is constantly remind me of what I’m capable of on days where I doubt myself or think I’m not good enough. She is my biggest cheerleader and I’m grateful for her for all she’s done for me.
