Meet Destiny Bradd | CEO + Founder of Girl-tivities®

We had the good fortune of connecting with Destiny Bradd and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Destiny, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
In the process of starting Girl-tivities®, I thought to myself… other women HAVE to be feeling the same way. There has to be other women that are looking for a safe place for women to connect. There has to be other women that want a group of girls to do things with but yet their friends always cancel on them. And I decided to make the leap to be the one to create that space because otherwise, who will?
What should our readers know about your business?
Girl-tivities® is a social event company that hosts events monthly for women in Arizona (and more states to come). We specialize in creating a safe environment that is non-judgemental and welcoming to allow women to come meet each other while trying something new. We host fitness, crafts, socials, workshops, and retreats. Each month is a new theme and new location and we specifically love to get girls out of their comfort zone to try something they have been scared to try alone. While creating this brand I realized how powerful community is and how much women are craving it. It’s been so fulfilling watching friendships bloom and women overcoming their fears.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Scottsdale and Downtown Phoenix. We have hosted a lot of events at amazing locations in these areas. Greenwood Brewing, Los Sombreros, 50 Shades of Rose, Copper & Sage, Lane Park, Lucky’s, SIP Coffee, and 36 Below just to name a few amazing restaurants/bars/hangouts!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I really have to give gratitude to my two business mentors that I met through the Hospitality Mentorship Program I was in at Grand Canyon University that was led by Jennifer Elfenbein. My two mentors was Brian Pierce (CEO of True Salt) and Kurt Riske (Owner of Los Sombreros). Although they owned businesses completely different than the project I was starting, they both helped me and inspired me to move forward with all the expertise they were able to give in my beginning first year of starting Girl-tivities.
