Meet Destiny Wolf | Transformational Coach, Yoga & Meditation Teacher, Breathwork Facilitator, and Sound Healer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Destiny Wolf and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Destiny, what inspires you?
Every morning I wake up and the first thing I do is to take a deep breath in, place my hand on my heart and meet myself. I take a moment to try and be present in my body, to check in with how I feel, and pause before getting to the agendas of the day. This is what inspires me – intentional living. I was reading a passage in a book the other day that mentioned sometimes as humans, we think the foe to life is a distant far off death, but actually the real foe to life is an everyday detachment from living. I’m inspired by humans who take the time to live their lives on purpose, and it’s my greatest joy to help others find what lights them up in life and live their lives on fire. Once I realised I was creating my life with the choices I make every day, I started curating my life more carefully. For me, being out in nature, watching a beautiful sunrise or sunset, hearing the birds greet the morning sun, or a bee pollentating the flowers, lighting dance across the sky in a desert storm, the simple things in life bring so much beauty and meaning. I’m inspired by the colours and music painted by nature and how as humans, we can create our own masterpeices through expression of our hearts, souls, and ideas.

What should our readers know about your business?
I use the modalities of breath, movement, sound, and ceremony to help people feel good and live their lives on purpose. I am a certified Yoga Instructor, Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, Breathwork Facilitator, and Sound Healer. I facilitate group classes and workshops and private sessions to help people achieve their wellness goals and feel empowered on their journeys as they surf the waves of life. I co-founded Humans Alive where we host multisensory wellness events that combine music, art, and more to bring people together and help us feel more connected. I also host international transformational retreats in stunning locations around the world.
I have a background in Secondary Education English Literature, and taught for 4 years before transitioning into the University and working as a Projects Officer. During this time, I had space to dive into my yoga practice and eventually started teaching a few classes a week, and I loved it. I loved the feeling of helping people feel good and seeing the smiles on their faces when they left the studio. Eventually, I took the leap at the end of 2020 to go full time into my own business. After a year in strict lockdown due to covid and working from home 9-5pm, I could not ignore my heart any longer. I was unfulfilled at work, so I decided to follow my heart and see if I could do what I love for a living.
My first day away from my corporate job was the first time in my life I wasn’t working a 9-5pm, 40 hours a week role, and I felt so scared. I questioned my worth and whether I could make it. Who was I if I didn’t have a label and what if I wasn’t working enough hours a week or making enough money? What if I failed? I realised the pressure of living my life a certain way with all these expectations was very alive in my psyche, but although there was fear, I pressed on. The power of love is always greater than the power of fear.
When I said yes to my calling and my heart, doors started to open. I started to receive messages from people randomly. Are you looking for more work? I love your classes I know the manager of this studio. Opportunities came my way and quickly I was teaching 18 classes a week and hustling big time. I worked hard to build my business and reputation and in between teaching sometimes 7 classes a day, I would squeeze in a nap on the studio floor where I could, and this period was exhausting. I think this period of learning how to be persistent, putting in the hard work, and not giving was an important part of my success. I started off with low-paying jobs and said yes to most opportunities, until I was ready to pull back.
About 6 months into running my full-time business I was teaching 18 classes a week, hosting monthly sound healing ceremonies, and had sold out my first luxury retreat. I felt I was on fire, but I was depleted. And then we went into covid lockdown again. I lost most of my classes, the retreat I sold out was cancelled and I had to refund everyone, and all events were postponed. I lost sight for a week and grieved, but it was in this space of slowing down, that more magic began to unfold.
When I lost it all, I found space to sit with myself on the cliffs watching sunrise and while hear, I listened to my heart again, and whole entire online course downloaded while i was meditating. I filmed myself talking about the course right away and the course was filled within 2 days. This is one lesson I’ve always held dearly, let go and there will be space for what’s next.
Over three years I’ve tripled my business in profit and am making more money than what I made in my corporate gig, but it’s not really about the money. My work comes from my heart and knowing I am making an impact in the world to help people live their lives more intentionally and peacefully overflows my life with meaning.
My journey has been to keep dreaming, keep saying yes, to stay open, to let go of what’s not working, to learn, and to keep creating from my heart. My work came from doing the deep work within myself to get to know the real me, to forgive, and to not be defined by my scars but to wear them with pride. My journey is about authenticity and connection in a world where we can feel separate or masked. My journey is to help inspire others to remember that they are their own best teachers, and they are the artists in their masterpieces, so paint that canvas freely and wildly.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Let’s go on a Road trip to my favourite places in Arizona, Sedona, Havasupai Waterfalls, and Flagstaff! This is basically the trip we did for our wedding which we shared with guests from all over the world
We’ll hit the road from Phoenix stopping by Tempe to check out my old stomping grounds at Arizona State University. We will catch a quick coffee at Cartel Roasting and hit up the Arizona Botanical Gardens to have a sneak peek at all the stunning native life the our desert has to offer.
After grabbing some delicious Mexican food, we will begin our drive up to Sedona, Arizona where we will explore some of the magical trails and luxuriate have our first encounters with the red rocks of our desert. We will stay overnight in Sedona at Sky Ranch Lodge where my husband and I tied the knot in 2019, and begin our journey the next day to drive to my favourite camping and hiking spot in all of Arizona, Havasupai Waterfalls in the Grand Canyon.
I’ve travelled to over 50 countries in the world, and this is one of my favourite spots on the planet. The turquoise blue falls cascading down the red rock canyon creates a mindblowing, breathtaking symphony of colours. We will spend 3 nights down in the Canyon hiking to different falls and taking in the rejuvenating energy of this land.
After our hike out, we will stop by Flagstaff, Arizona to unwind and enjoy a glass of wine under the stars.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
When I was 19, I was gifted a book called, Be Here Now, by Ram Dass, and that book propelled my spiritual awakening and began to change my life as I found a meeting place between Western and Eastern philosophies, I found out that a simple tool of becoming present was just to lie on my back and rest in Savasana Pose and just feel my heartbeat, this began to help heal my anxiety and help my arrive back into my body. Since then I’ve had so many spiritual teachers on my journey who helped me find my way and share my truth. I am eternally grateful to my meditation teachers Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, my breathwork teacher Karina Kalilah, and all the beautiful yoga teachers who helped me learn to express in my body.
Going back to my roots, I am eternally grateful to my parents as they have dedicated their lives to helping others and always taught me to follow my heart and to have faith that life will flow when I’m living in my purpose. They named me Destiny for a reason, and I’m grateful for that.
