We had the good fortune of connecting with Diane Howard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diane, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
So, since I was young, I’ve always wanted to get into the medical field, specifically nursing and aesthetics. It all started with a high school project where I shadowed my best friend’s sister at a Dermatology office. I’ve always had a passion for beauty, art, and creating, so it felt like a perfect fit for me! Plus, growing up in an entrepreneurial household, with my dad owning his own business, he always emphasized the importance of working for yourself. When it came to naming my business, I actually turned to social media for help! I posted on Facebook and asked for suggestions on what to name my business. And that’s how Esthetic Finesse came to be!

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets us apart is our unique location, allowing us to provide a personalized and welcoming atmosphere for our clients. Our growth over the past year has prompted us to expand, adding a second treatment room to our already luxurious space. We pride ourselves on catering to all our patients’ senses, creating a cozy, elegant space, that sets us apart from clinical settings.

I reached where I am today by changing many of my daily habits so that I can provide the best for my clients. Being organized and using tools like SaneBox to stay focused and organized requires discipline, but I’m grateful for the mentorship from friends, mentors, and my husband.

For anyone entering the aesthetics field, my top advice would be to always lean on the conservative side. Additionally, it is important to continuously level up your skills by staying up-to-date with the latest techniques. By doing so, you can guarantee that everyone will love their results.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It really depends on the time of year and budget. I’d love to show them the best of Scottsdale and Sedona, both such beautiful places! For sightseeing, hiking and exploring the shops in town would be a must. In Scottsdale, I recommend a camelback hike and checking out the Phoenix Preserve. And for some delicious food, Houstons or Slanted Rice are great options, or if they’re up for a fancy dinner, Maestros Scottsdale. Oh, and if they have kids, gotta take them to the train park!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband Loren has been a massive help in teaching me about the business world. Injecting is my passion, and initially, I wasn’t keen on learning the ins and outs of running a business. But as I’ve delved deeper and gained more knowledge, I’m actually enjoying it because I know it enhances the experience for my patients. It’s all about making their time with me more enjoyable and worthwhile.
