We had the good fortune of connecting with Dianna Robicheau and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dianna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always worked a traditional 9-5 job, and in 2018 moved cross country from where I grew up and where my family is located. Once moving, I struggled with the idea of only being able to go back home to visit for a week or so at a time, as determined by my PTO schedule. So while searching for ideas of what I could do for work that would allow for more travel, I discovered Virtual Assisting. I was hooked! I also have always loved serving people, so it was the perfect industry for me. Now I get to do what I love – help creative entrepreneurs streamline their client systems and market their work digitally.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think what I am most proud of in my business, is all of the new skills I have taught myself over the years. As a regular 9-5 employee, I always had dreams of doing something different or unique but would get hung up on the unknown. In particular, I doubted my ability to do anything too “techy,” so while the idea of digital-nomadship was SO appealing to me, I never thought I had the capacity to learn the tech skills to do it.

Now, a few years in, I am so proud to say that I have taught myself to be an expert in programs and tools such as HoneyBook, blogging platforms, Pinterest, etc so that I can offer marketing and systems support services to creative businesses. I am now a firm believer that everything truly is “figureoutable!”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is such a fun question, and very relevant to my business currently! In addition to my Virtual Assistant business, I am about to launch my first Airbnb property here in Oklahoma City. I’ve just completed my guest welcome guide, highlighting all of my favorite things to do in Oklahoma City! Coming from the east coast, I never would have guessed at the number of fun things to do and the booming restaurant scene that OKC has. Some favorite spots here include breweries such as Angry Scotsman and Cross Timbers, restaurants like Stella, The Hall’s Pizza Kitchen, and Big Truck Tacos, and fun bars like O Bar (great view of OKC!) and The Study. Oklahoma City is a great town!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have learned from so many amazing service providers as I started navigating the world of online business! In particular, Sharon Nissen of The Support Squad, and Adrienna Mozingo of Ava and the Bee. Another great colleague is Claire Coleman of CC Marketing and Design. On a larger scale, I am enthralled by Marie Forleo and HIGHLY recommend her book Everything Is Figureoutable to anyone considering starting something new – whether it’s starting a business or chasing some other dream.
