Meet Diva Bleach | indie pop-rock band

We had the good fortune of connecting with Diva Bleach and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Diva, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
The music industry is very risk/award-oriented. In order to pursue our band we constantly have to sacrifice personal time with our friends/family, take time away from our day jobs, sometimes even our sleep schedules. But it’s all for things that we’re really passionate about which is why it’s all worth it in the end.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The two of us have been close friends since high school, and that bond is what led us to writing music about our shared experiences. Diva Bleach to us is a tool that we use to help us cope with our day-to-day lives, and we hope it can be relatable to others.
We got to where we are today by constantly playing shows and pushing ourselves as performers and musicians. We try to play as many cities as we possibly can and we’re always looking to go somewhere we haven’t yet.
It’s definitely not easy, traveling all the time and being away from loved ones is not for everybody. It’s caused relationships to gradually grow apart, so it’s hard to balance having a social life while being on the road. Always having each other is the most important thing, and it’s a huge perk to be in a band with your bestie.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Definitely Ziggy’s, it’s a David Bowie themed bar in Phoenix that has pinball and pizza. As far as food goes, we both love Green New American Vegetarian. Their big wac and vampire are bomb. The Nile Coffee shop is really cute and has amazing lattes. Honestly we’d just bring them anywhere that’s inside ‘cause it’s too hot out. The Musical Instrument Museum in Scottsdale is really neat. Also Terror Trader in Chandler is a cool horror-themed shop that we like.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
