We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique Bazemore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominique, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
On New Year’s Eve 2019, I started to look around and ask myself what more can I do to be more productive than what I already am. Working a full time job where the bills are getting paid but i felt like I can do much more. I started to explore different avenues of work to possibly fill that piece of the puzzle, offers were on the table, but nothing really stood out for something I wanted to do. That’s when a few or so days later, I spoke with an old military buddy of mine who started streaming on Twitch a few months or so prior. I asked him about the overall experience and he mentioned it was warranted, that’s when the gears started turning in my head.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m currently employed as an government contractor, I can’t really go into details much as its an clearance and safety precautions, but since leaving the Army in 2015, this job has been real good for self-development, brainstorming skills and communication among peers.

On top of working full time, I created content for Twitch, YouTube and other social media outlets. I thoroughly enjoy editing videos, clips and little snippets of my own as well as fellow content creators. By doing so, it unlock doors across my mental to really explore just how creative I can really be.

How I got to where I am wasn’t the hardest nor the easiest. I essentially have been working since 2008, a job here and there, making several changes as time went on. Attempted to continue my education at a ground university in 2009, but ultimately it was not meant for me which left me at a drastic crossroad. That’s when I enlisted in the Army from 2010 to 2015. I was able to go places I only imagined based on word of mouth, it was one of the best points in my life and I don’t regret my decision none the least. I was able to obtain a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Admin courtesy of the benefits the military provided.

With that being said, for every accomplishment there’s always a down side, time after time (which continues to this day) I’ve always been seen as a 2nd or 3rd choice (so on) in regards of all avenues of life. Every time it happens, I take it with a grain of salt and still continue to find the energy and motivation to drive on. One thing I can say about myself is resiliency is a way of living I continue to live by

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly these days, I’m happy to see one of my friends just by face value. Times are hard and life is short, just taking the time to hang out with friends nowadays is a blessing in itself. I myself am a simple going kinda guy, I like to legit relax and chat it up with friends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Keiana Williams deserve much love, she is probably the only person since starting the content creation journey to never flake and always be critical of any of my decision making.
