We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique Willis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominique, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was to break generational curses and build generational wealth. I want to be able to help my family and children with whatever they ask for, and I want to be able to give back not only to my community but to other communities as well. I want my children to be able to know that when I leave this earth I have done everything I cloud to make sure they will never struggle. Starting a business is about more than money but making sure you leave behind a legacy for your children and family.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started selling led neon signs in November of 2020 and it was not easy. The most challenging part about starting any business and building credibility and clientele. You would expect your family and friends to support you in everything you do and it can be discouraging when they don’t even bother to share a post and help get the word out, but the truth is that your biggest supporters will always come from complete strangers! I built my business by containing to promote myself in multiple Facebook groups, and running ads that I learned from Aimee the owner of Precision Media Co. I would like the word to know that I am so greatful for the support and love that I have been shown, thank you for the opportunity to allow my comany to put our signs in your shops, salon, bars, homes, and restuarnts. To anyone who wants to start a business DO IT and trust the process.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would love to take my friends to El Tataki Sushi I love the food there and the drinks are great! Id also Get food from Naija Sould Kitchen and some desert from Wud’n Spoon, and lest not forget the tacos from Eat my Taco are top-tier. As for as night life goes I love Fat Tuesdays at westgate gotta love a good night dancing and drinking with friends. I love hanging out at home mostly!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank my husband for his continuous support. He forever cheers me on and supports me emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. I also want to give God the most credit because without God and the blessings I have been given throughout my life I would have never started a business and had this oportunity to do this interview.
