We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Will Moreland and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Will, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
For most of my life I’ve considered myself an Entrepreneur. I loved the idea of being my own boss, having time freedom and controlling my own destiny. Owning my own business gave me the opportunity to explore, to travel and express my genuine self.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
During my time in the military, I became very passionate about self development. Over a course of five years, I read over 300 to 400 books. This set me on a journey to becoming the best version of myself. Reading opened up a whole new world for me. It made me want to discover and learn more about the world. This passion led me to travel more, thus far I have traveled to over 50 countries and I have lived in 5 different countries.
After leaving the military, I started my company. In the early years we focused on Leadership Development. We would train company executives on how to develop relationships with their employees. We would train employees how to be integral part of their companies. Over the years we have expanded to over trainings in other areas, such as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Best Business Practices, Team Building, Exit Strategy, Mergers and Acquisition.
In the last 20 years, we have faced many challenges, both small and large. What has kept us grounded is our focus on serving our Clients. Because of our relationships with our Clients, they have been very loyal throughout the years. Most recently during the pandemic, we were able to retain most of our Clients.
One of the major lessons I have learned over the years is to continue to add value. If you become a person, a company of value, the world we always make room for you.
If I could have the world remember any thing about me or my company, I would want them to remember I was a cheerleader for others success.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our trip would start off by visiting the Grand Canyon. You can’t come to Arizona and not visit one of the Wonders of the World. Next we would travel to Sedona to see the amazing red rocks. Once we were back in the city, we would have to visit Lolo’s Chicken and Waffles. We would then take a trip to downtown Phoenix and take in the sites. A trip over to Maple and Ash for dinner would be in order.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am the sum total of many mentors, coaches and cheerleaders. I have gleaned from countless books, interviews and articles.
