We had the good fortune of connecting with Drea Holland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Drea , life can be so busy as an adult, and for many, especially those who’ve moved to a new city, making friends can be hard. We’d love to hear your thoughts?
It’s funny, but I feel like making new friends as an adult is actually easier than ever before. With social media you have the opportunity to see what people are about. What’s important to them and who they really are, so you know right away if the two of you click. For me I had to discover who I was in order to be a good friend. Once you are happy and secure in your own life, your efforts to reach out and love others are authentic and fueled by love instead of the need for acceptance and you know right away who is good for you (your life, family and professional brand), and who to not grow as deep with!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am blessed to be able to do what I love! All thing’s health and wellness! I am a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I train clients in person online, one on one and in groups.

With the gyms being closed right now due to Covid, it’s been fun to find ways to adapt and still provide services to my clients. I have added in virtual workout sessions, and outdoor sessions in the park.

Whatever it takes to keep people healthy, happy and moving!

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Downtown Gilbert is always a win for me! I love everything Gilbert! The restaurant’s and environment (especially at night) are my favorite! We would have breakfast at Liberty Market, lunch at Postinos and dinner at Sushi Brokers! I make all my friends hike with me (we have the best, most beautiful trails here!). So maybe an early morning Camelback Hike or a drive to Sedona for a hike to Devil’s Bridge.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family. Especially the 2 incredible boys who love me unconditionally, believe in and support me. My friends who lift me up and help me do “me”more real and authentically. My work family at Northington Fitness and Nutrition and Body Envy Fitness. My clients. They have grown into my family and help me always want to do more and be more to help them achieve their goals.
