Hi Erica, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
As an independent female Financial Advisor with 21 years of experience, these are the key habits I have used to create a successful business:

Continuous Learning: I stay up to date with market conditions by reading LPL Research’s daily posts about current market conditions. Every Monday I download a weekly market watch to see YTD stats on benchmarks in the industry. I dedicate my time to reading and attending seminars in my industry to stay updated on trends and keep enhancing my expertise.

Client-Centered focus: It is important to actively listen to clients about their goals, concerns, and preferences. Empathy plays a huge role in building strong trust-based relationships with my clients. I care deeply about them, and I always do what is in their best interest.

Goal Setting and Self Reflection: Every person on my team sets clear, measurable personal and professional goals. We set annual goals and have quarterly meetings to touch base and stay accountable. This approach supports every team member and keeps every goal top of mind.

Keeping a Long-Term Perspective: Cultivate patience and discipline, understanding that true wealth accumulation often requires time and consistent effort. As we encourage our clients to focus on the long-term and do the same as a business. We only take on new clients with the intent of establishing long-lasting relationships with them and their families.

Organization and Time Management: Our firm follows very specific processes. I establish tasks for every follow-up and actionable item that follows a meeting, phone call or client interaction. My team priorities the tasks 1-3 to ensure the most urgent matters get handled first. Our firm follows very specific processes. These key habits have assisted us in growing our business and bring in new clients year after year for the past 20+ years.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would spend some time in the Grand Canyon where the views are so much better from down below. I’ve hiked it several times and it never looks the same twice! We would be sure to stop at breathtaking Havasupai Falls and do some swimming in the natural pools at 2 other falls nearby. We might do a 5 course Chef’s tasting at Sel restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale. Sel is an experience to be remembered and a favorite special occasion spot. We would be sure to grab an ASU game, and likely would attend one of my sons sporting events as well, depending on the weekend! Since I love to laugh, there are many comedy clubs in the area, or we might pull on the boots and go watch some live Bull riding at Buffalo Chip Saloon in Cave Creek. With so many options, we won’t have much down time, but my pool is always open for some relaxation and conversation.
