Hi Fatima, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is PATIENCE is key when starting a business or pursuing something you would like to accomplish.

What should our readers know about your business?
Aster Raine is a skin care brand that offers high quality products at affordable prices and gives back to young girls and boys through education. We believe that less is more, so we formulate products with as few ingredients as possible for effective results. Our formulas and mission is what sets us apart from other skin care brands. I’m most excited about our mission of giving back to others and creating potent / results driven products for all genders. I got to this level by being persistent with myself and working hard as well as strategic. The lessons I have learned along the way are that when starting a brand from scratch you need to know your mission, long term vision, who are your target customers, do not be afraid to make mistakes but know when to hire because it will save you a lot of time and money on the long term. I would like people to know that I have created everything from scratch, starting from my brand name, Aster Raine to the designs of my packaging and the formulas of most of my products. As a brand we aren’t trying to create hundreds of products but instead we believe in creating quality and effective products for all skin types and all genders. Helping our customers feel good in their own skin is central to our mission.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I usually don’t go to bars or restaurants that often but I will take them to dominick’s steakhouse for dinner, go for hikes in the Verrado, Buckeye area, and maybe take the kids to the Zoo

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband and my three friends (Janice, Pattie and Kayla) that believed in me and my idea of starting Aster Raine. They support has meant a lot on my journey of starting a brand from scratch.
