We had the good fortune of connecting with Francesca Cetrullo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Francesca, why did you pursue a creative career?
I embarked on a creative career because it’s the only way I want to spend my time. It’s inspiring:
waking up in the morning and doing something that belongs and starts only from yourself.
I think we can try to choose anything we want in our life. It’s the only power we have.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I create images with iron-on stickers on any surface. People tend to ask for it on t-shirts or their personal jackets.
I learned this art within the first company I worked for, but I don’t love mass production!
I love manual skills, making each object unique and unrepeatable.
It was easy because it was something that stimulated me, it was something that seemed to follow in my steps, as an end (start) point.
I used my savings to buy the machinery I needed, and I invest in materials every day.
It’s all blind, I’m not sure what I’m doing, I don’t know if I’ll be successful, but at least I wake up happy in my workshop, with my big wooden table and the big window overlooking the garden. it’s a risk, but why should I live safe and unhappy, with little time for myself?
I wish the world knew that sometimes it’s impossible to get the love you need, or the people you need. Many things around us finish, but we don’t finish too. We are still there.
And as stupid as it may make us seem, I believe that there is nothing more right than living as if there were no tomorrow, because actually, there is only the present. the present animated by our future projects. And I promise, “brick by brick” I’ll be able to build something.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I think I’d take him skiing in the desert, we’ll get a mega ice cream to recharge. then with a mustang we will head towards the Grand Canyon, where we will then take a helicopter and why not, we will also throw ourselves with a paraglider. We will have lunch with a gourmet sandwich and then we will leave for the mountain, where we will set up a tent to see the stars and be ready the next morning to climb to the summit.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In my life i have always moved on my own, i haven’t had my parents around for more than 10 years now. I have a best friend, he’s not the hero of the story, but he’s the most sincere person I have close to and I can always call if I have a problem. he is an artist too, I believe in him so much. I’m sure he will find his happiness, he’s more concrete than me, I’m a perennial dreamer.
In Italy we say: “I have my head in the clouds”, while he “has his feet on the ground”.
