We had the good fortune of connecting with F*ST! Female Storytellers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi F*ST! Female Storytellers, what principle do you value most?
F*ST! was founded in 2012 to elevate and provide a platform for the voices and stories of women and female identifying individuals. We feel women’s stories and shared experiences have power and we aim to give power back to those who have been marginalized.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We work to promote feminism and equality in our community by empowering women.

Each month women are invited to share their stories in the form of a 10-15 minute monologue. Our theme changes every month, but our mission remains the same- give women a space to speak and share.

What sets F*ST! apart from other storytelling organizations in Tucson is our philanthropy. We donate money to local organizations that support and strengthen the community that we love. In our first ten years we’ve donated over $30,000 that has directly impacted the greater Tucson area.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A must see is a F*ST! show at The Rock!

Grab a craft beer at Crooked Tooth Brewery, another great venue to see a F*ST! show or jump in on a workshop.

Sing karaoke and have a famous Bob’s Burger at Bob Dobbs. Another great venue to attend a F*ST! workshop.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We dedicate this to the hundreds of women in Tucson and beyond who have shared their stories with us. We wouldn’t exist without you!
