Meet George Mevawala | Real estate agent & investor

We had the good fortune of connecting with George Mevawala and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi George, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success as a real estate agent is building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. By truly understanding their needs and delivering exceptional service, I foster trust and loyalty, which often leads to referrals and repeat business. This personalized approach not only helps in achieving successful transactions but also enhances the reputation of my brand in the market.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart as both a real estate agent and investor is my dual expertise in understanding market trends and hands-on experience in property investment. In 2010 I started in commercial real estate for 6 years which led me to being in residential real estate now for 7 years. I leverage my deep market knowledge to identify opportunities and provide clients with strategic insights that go beyond the typical real estate transaction. My investment background allows me to offer valuable guidance on property value, potential returns, and risk management, giving my clients a comprehensive approach that integrates both buying and investing perspectives.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I fell in love with Arizona when I came out here for college. Present day with my vacation rental portfolio of 30+ rentals, partially owned and managed I am all about that Scottsdale hospitality. I would recommended starting your week off during spring training season, see a spring training game and enjoy the great weather during that time of year. Explore the Aquarium in north scottsdale, stop at Talking Stick Casino on your way out. Spend a day at the Desert Botanical Garden and eat at one of the oldest, most iconic and trendy restaurants that’s still somewhat of a hidden gem that locals love, AZ88. The following day I would spend it poolside at one of my BnB rentals or a hotel in old town. Old Town is a center hub for various hotels, restaurants and events, an enclave that’s great for entertaining, dining and meeting new people while everything is in relatively walkable. If you are looking for a newer spot offering great views for a perfect AZ sunset grab a bite at SEVEN rooftop in Oldtown, at Caesars Republic hotel. Spend a day grabbing brunch at MOXIE at Scottsdale mall and shop afterwards! Spend a day golfing 18 holes at Mountain Shadows or of numerous highly rated golf courses, top it off with an amazing dinner (that may even have fire dancers) at Toca Madera. If outdoor golfing isn’t your thing you can check out top golf or Puttshack, end the night with a bar crawl on any of the various group tour bikes!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success as a real estate agent is deeply rooted in the unwavering support and encouragement I’ve received from my fiancé and family. Their emotional balance and belief in my abilities have been crucial in navigating the challenges of the industry. My fiancé has been a constant source of motivation, helping me stay grounded and focused, while my family has provided the emotional support that keeps me resilient and driven. Their backing has allowed me to excel in my career and build a successful brand, and I am profoundly grateful for their role in this journey.
