Meet Geremy Davis | Faith Based Sports Media

We had the good fortune of connecting with Geremy Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Geremy, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I played in the NFL for six years, and when that chapter closed, I realized how much I missed the thrill of competing. Golf became the outlet that filled that void—it challenged me mentally and physically in a way I hadn’t experienced since football.
But as I immersed myself in the golf media space, I noticed two major gaps: there was very little African American representation in long-form content, and almost no spiritual presence that uplifted or encouraged viewers. I wanted to change that.
That’s what led me to create Golf and Gospel—a space where people can be entertained, but more importantly, walk away with something informative or spiritually encouraging. I didn’t just want to make content—I wanted to make content that adds value beyond the screen.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
After playing six years in the NFL, I found myself in a season of transition—trying to figure out what was next once the cleats came off. I realized how much I missed the competition, the preparation, and the camaraderie. That’s where golf came in—it became not just a hobby, but a space where I could compete and grow.
But as I stepped into the golf content space, I noticed two things missing: long-form representation of African Americans, and a spiritual voice that uplifted while entertaining. That’s when Golf and Gospel was born.
Golf and Gospel is a YouTube series where I play 9 holes with athletes, influencers, and believers while discussing life, faith, and culture. It’s more than just golf—it’s a platform to bring encouragement, perspective, and purpose to the game and the people watching.
It hasn’t been easy. Building something from the ground up, especially in a niche lane, comes with doubts and slow growth at times. But I’ve learned that consistency, authenticity, and staying rooted in your “why” makes the journey worth it. I want people to know that faith and excellence can coexist in the creative space—and that purpose-driven content still matters.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting for the week, first stop would be a tee time at Dove Valley—gotta set the tone with some good competition. I’m a huge breakfast guy, so after the round we’d go hunt down the best pancakes in town. I’m still on the search for that spot, but any place serving up solid golden pancakes is getting a shot.
Throughout the week, we’d hit some of my favorite courses: TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course, Mesa Country Club, Longbow, The Wigwam, and Power Ranch. Each one has its own vibe and challenge—I love showing off the range of golf Arizona has to offer.
Outside the course, I’m all about escape rooms—so we’d definitely team up and attack one or two. For dinner, we’d take it up a notch at Kiki Rae’s in Cave Creek—great food and great atmosphere.
To close the week out right, we’d head to Endurance Church in the Valley on Sunday. Love the community and Word that presented there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my wife, Erica Davis, for her unwavering love, encouragement, and support. She’s been a rock through this journey and instrumental in helping grow Golf and Gospel. Huge thanks to Robert McIntosh for his mentorship and consistent guidance. To the faithful friends who continue to watch and support every episode—we see you and appreciate you. And of course, shoutout to Noah Brediger for capturing every single shot, even when he’s looking half-asleep behind the camera—wouldn’t be the same without him!
