Meet Giuliana Frye | Podcast Host & Yoga Instructor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Giuliana Frye and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Giuliana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I created my podcast – Self Meets Soul – as I was really growing in my spiritual practices and wanted to share my journey and advice with others. There are many spiritual and self-development podcasts out there, but I wanted to offer people practical ways to start or nurture their wellness journey. I wanted people to know that it’s possible to pour into yourself and grow even when you are grounded in the world around us, and part of the “go go go” culture that is very prevalent nowadays.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The Self Meets Soul Podcast is a space where listeners can learn self care practices that touch on creating boundaries, practicing self-love, living in the present, and more. The show also has guests who share their wisdom on topics like tarot, sound healing, and general health and wellness. All of these topics are really used to help the listener tune into themselves to figure out what lights up their soul.
The most challenging part about releasing a podcast in my opinion is getting over the imposter syndrome. There were times throughout this journey where I doubted my ability to make a true impact on people and to have my words resonate with them. What I learned is that there is only one me! My ideas, my visions, and the ways I choose to communicate are unique to myself, and how I choose to show up online may really connect with some people. I think that this is something worth remembering for anyone who is putting their ideas out there in professional or creative ways!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Phoenix has so many amazing spots and I love when I have friends in town to share it with them!
Restaurants: Earth Plant Based Cuisine, Green New American Vegetarian, Nami, The Coronado, Harumi Sushi, Tocaya
Bars: Valley Bar, The Little Woody, Gracie’s Tax Bar
Things to Do: Go to a Suns game, Papago Park, Paddleboat at Tempe Town Lake, Uptown Farmers Market, Thrifting

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Jasmine Singh! She has been instrumental in giving me the confidence to pursue my dreams. She supports all my creative endeavors, and spends time with me at coffee shops almost every weekend as we bounce ideas off of each other.
