We had the good fortune of connecting with Grace El and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Grace, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by the people around me who continuously strive to live in their truth. I am inspired by people who aren’t afraid to show their evolution because our thoughts may change as we grow and shed old ideals. I am inspired by people who continue to fight the darkness within and smile on the outside. I am inspired by those who stand in the gap for others who can’t find the strength to stand for themselves. I am inspired by those who have healed themselves and now willingly share their wisdom with others. I am inspired by those who love freely and without judgement. I am inspired by those who are a judgement free zone and a safe place for others who need rest. I am inspired by my own struggles. I am inspired by my own grit and determination, my love and my grace which continues to grow daily for myself and others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am the creator and host of Me, Authentically Podcast. The goal of the podcast is a simple one. My goal is to become my most authentic self. And by doing so, I hope to encourage others to become their most authentic selves. It is my desire for us to release the parts of ourselves that we had to become while we were striving to survive and instead embrace who we choose to be while we are striving to thrive. I am excited about the growth that has taken place within me since I started to step outside of my comfort zone and embrace different parts of myself. It wasn’t easy getting to this place and honestly, it still isn’t. I am used to placing myself in the background to serve others. I love being able to help others achieve their goals and dreams. And now, I am learning that I can serve others in a way that doesn’t limit myself to being in the background. I am learning that I have something to say that someone needs to hear. I have wisdom that isn’t just for me anymore. I have been through so many different experiences in my life and I am wasting that wisdom by not sharing it.
If I had to chose one thing for the world to know about the podcast and myself, it’s simple, You matter. Your voice matters. Your love matters. Speak your truth unashamed. Stand in your truth boldly. Be you, authentically. No one can decide who that version of you looks like but you. So shed the limitations, create the vision and become the person that you always were.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friends and I love to eat! So first stop, the Pemberton in downtown Phoenix. There’s so much food to eat there. Then Sedona for a couple of days just to hike and sit in the mountains. Of course, we are going to have to find out where Hot Sauce and Pepper is at on that day because they have the best vegan cauliflower wings. Culinary Dropout for their Buffalo wings with extra ranch.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I met Shalom a couple of years ago online. At the time, she was offering free spiritual classes on instagram. I had no idea the importance that she would have in my life. I admired her for the wealth of information that she had and I soaked all the information up. When she started charging for her classes, she made sure that they were affordable because her goal is to help others grow spiritually and excel in life, I willingly paid. I attended as many classes as I could. In a very short time, our relationship somehow shifted from one of teacher and student to friend and now family. We have experienced so much of life together. We have both grown so much in every aspect of our lives but I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be where I am today, spiritually, mentally, physically or emotionally without Shalom.
I have watched her breakthrough her own ceilings of self-limitations, therefore giving me the courage to do the same. I have watched her shed old ideals. I admired her in the beginning because of her wisdom but now I admire her for being my friend, my sistar, my first mentor. For always being true to herself no matter what was going on in and around her. Her vulnerability is amazing. I honor Shalom and dedicate my shoutout to her.
