We had the good fortune of connecting with Greg Nickens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Greg, how do you think about risk?
I live by the principal of making a decision and making a decision right. The only risk is not taking action.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Brighter Days Window Cleaning is a commercial and residential window cleaning and pressure washing business. We have been in business for 12 years now. What sets us apart from other companies in the industry is our high standard for customer service: we are meticulous, we are timely, we have reasonable prices (we haven’t raised our prices in 12 years), and we are courteous, always showing respect for your property and cleaning up behind ourselves. We are proud of our team! Each individual has been specifically chosen for their character! We then trained them on how to clean windows. We are a family business and the team is our family! Brighter Days Window Cleaning has experienced it’s success because of our customers! We are so grateful for each and every customer referral and review! Our clientele and the strong relationships we have built over the years with these customers have allowed us to grow every year, including this year during a pandemic. It also bears mentioning that we are ordinary people here at Brighter Days and although we are imperfect, God has given us this extraordinary work to do and we are grateful everyday we get to do it (Eccl 5:18)! Was it easy to build Brighter Days? Well, that is a tough question. We learned early on that what is easy to do is also easy not to do. We chose to do what is easy to do, consistently, and to always go the extra mile. Building a company is easy if you have character in the process. Doing what you say you are going to do can sometimes be a challenge, but it is simply the only way to build a company that will last. When times were hard, finances were tight, and the company was all in the hands of the owner (Greg Nickens), it was built through the will to pay the bills and to deliver on the promises he had made. There were tough times, of coarse! However, the building of Brighter Days has been a pleasure and continues to be a pleasure!
