Meet Gustavo A. Santana | Painter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gustavo A. Santana and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gustavo A., what role has risk played in your life or career?
For my take risk is a must do, because I don’t like to remain on the “what if?”. It definitely had positive situations because I get to exercise the profession and career path I chose: the art

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think a difference maker for me is extroverted personality and how I approach the challenges and I’m able to adapt to any type of style. I started painting and drawing since I was 5 years old and became a fan of Bob Ross’s art and paintings. My path became easy when I completed my ideas with multiple inspirations and eventually my hobbie became my work.
I learned that being an artist implies that creating art has no barriers,no rules and definitely “impossible ” is something that don’t exist.
I would encourage other fellow artists to take risks, if you are good at something take a leap of faith and do it

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Rio Rico we have the best sunsets in the world and beautiful landscapea, lakes like Patagonia lake. I would take my friend to the border, local museums and take him to eat to our traditional Mexican restaurants. A must do for us would be a concert in Phoenix or Tucson

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
