Meet Hannah Goehring | CEO & Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Goehring and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hannah, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
From a young age, I always knew that I wasn’t going to follow a “traditional” path in life. I am from a very small town in South Dakota, where you are typically expected to go to college, and then get a 9-5 job after you graduate. I knew I was destined to do bigger and better things. I’ve always dreamt of creating something of my own. It wasn’t until after I moved out of South Dakota that I truly got into fashion. I felt like I could finally wear what I wanted to wear without the fear of getting judged or criticized. I was able to develop my own personal style and express myself through fashion. I’ve always had a passion for helping others. I figured why not start a clothing brand that’s main goal is to help others and bring awareness to mental health. The thought process behind starting my business was simple; create unique clothing and empower others. The word “ineffable” means something that is too great to be expressed or described in words. I want everyone to feel ineffable, in other words unspeakably beautiful. The Ineffable brand aims to create a sense of community for individuals who may feel lost or alone in the world. It seeks to remind everyone that they are indescribably beautiful and great, fostering a sense of self-confidence and acceptance. I want The Ineffable to be a platform for self-expression, and empowerment. By emphasizing the importance of individuality and embracing one’s unique qualities, The Ineffable clothing brand fosters a supportive environment where everyone can feel seen, appreciated, and celebrated.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am very passionate about my brand and determined to make sure that The Ineffable is successful.I think we sometimes forget how great we really are, so I started my brand to remind people of the greatness, and beauty that we behold. I am most excited to see my ideas and designs come to life. I am just starting out with this brand, but it has been a year in the making. Starting any new business is a challenge, and honestly pretty scary at first. The biggest challenge that I have faced so far is the fear of failure. However, this brand is something I know can make a difference to others so I use that as motivation to get over my fears. I know there will be many challenges in the future, as this is just the beginning of The Ineffable journey. An important lesson I have learned so far is to just trust myself, and trust the process. Success takes time. I would like the world to know that The Ineffable is bigger than just another clothing brand. The story behind it is personal, and I hope that by sharing my story I can bring together a community of people that might be able to relate. I am dedicated to reminding individuals that they are indescribably beautiful, and undeniably great.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Adrian Buss when you read this please book a flight to Arizona ASAP. Shopping at fashion square is a must so we would start there, and definitely do some damage to our bank accounts. Adrian and I like to go on roadtrips so we would probably head up to Sedona or Flagstaff, and enjoy a couple of days there. If the weather was nice we’d spend a day floating down the Salt River. Food wise, I would have to take her to Ocean 44, and to Postino’s for their bruschetta board.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would first like to give a special shoutout to my parents, Lori and Leland Goehring, for their unconditional love and support. With their unwavering faith in me and my ambitions, I have never felt limited in what I can do. They have always supported me paving my own path in life, and have never once questioned my ability to turn my dreams into reality. I would also like to shoutout my close friend Ren Olson for supporting, and helping me throughout this process. Ren was my photographer for the first Ineffable photoshoot, and together we made my vision come to life. Working on our dreams together is an incredible experience, and I am excited to see what the future holds for both of us, and our businesses. Make sure to give Ren a follow on Instagram @renolson.photography ! I want to take a moment to thank all of the amazing friends and family in my life who have supported me and my dream. All of your kind words and encouragement have been so inspiring and motivating. I cannot express how grateful I am for you all. Lastly, a huge shoutout to my best friend, Morgan Hansen, for always being my rock. Without her constant love, encouragement, and support I wouldn’t be where I am today.
