We had the good fortune of connecting with Hayden Blando and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hayden, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is the difference between existing and living. I think a lot of people tend to be afraid of taking risks because it is uncomfortable to venture into the unknown. The “what ifs” take over. I still have those thoughts, but I have changed my perspective to “what if it works out.” I refuse to wonder what could have happened if I had tried. I have realized that being afraid of doing something is not a reason not to do it. Anything worth doing comes with fear. I have gotten used to taking risks and being uncomfortable, because that is where growth happens. I moved across the country at 22 years old, to a city full of strangers. 6 months later, I left my job to start my career as a realtor. If I had never taken those risks, I would not be living the beautiful life that I have created for myself.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The hardest thing about becoming a realtor was the decision to commit to it. It’s scary going from a regular pay check to a career that is so risky. However, I knew that if I wanted to be successful in this field, I had to jump in and commit 100%. That is exactly what I did. I am so proud of myself for how far I’ve come in such a short period of time. I believe what sets me apart from other agents is my dedication to my clients. One of the biggest reasons I chose to do what I do is because I have a passion for helping people, and what better way to do it than in one of the most life-changing purchases of someone’s life? I have the incredible opportunity to help people start their new lives. I could not be more thankful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Phoenix, the first thing we would do would be to get breakfast at Snooze. Next we would head over to Scottsdale and check out Wonderspaces, or some of the galleries in the Arts District. First Friday in Downtown Phoenix is an absolute must. It is amazing to live in a city with so many amazing artists, and no matter what you’re into, First Friday has it. We would also have to make it to the farmer’s market on the weekend, and see the sunset at Hole in the Rock.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to Guy Forbis, my team lead. He has so much going on in his own life, yet he never hesitates to take the time to support and guide me. I hope to be as amazing of an agent as he is one day.
