We had the good fortune of connecting with Isabella Mauer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isabella, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea of my business because I liked making paintings and little things like my clay figures. When I imagine something I like to bring it to life. I have thought about the idea of my business for a while, so my mom and dad had helped me with it . It took me a bit for the name but I like it, I might change it in the future but for now it it’s perfect.🤩

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most proud of my custom shoes I make for school and I’m excited about all of the children’s entrepreneurship markets I’m doing this year.😁 None of it was easy it took many countless hours ,but I never gave up no matter how difficult something was, because in the end it was worth it. I over came many challenges like how to make my clay figures better, and not have finger prints on the pieces. Also, how to do different painting techniques with my paint. Some lessons I have learned along they way are:
– remembering that hand made things are not always perfect but always unique.

-don’t sketch so hard when painting because you might have to do many coats on the canvas.

-when you making clay try not to make them to big because when you do they can break easier and it will look better.

-this is a really bad habit of mine…….watching something while making my art it distracts me too much and I don’t get as much done but now that I don’t watch anything I am able to get more done.

What I want the world to know about my brand, is that I work hard on everything I create, no matter how big or small the piece of art is. I truly enjoy being creative and making art, it is my happy place.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m 12, so I’m still a kid. I would start by taking them to Butterfield’s in Scottsdale, they have amazing breakfast! Then we would go spend the afternoon at Sky Zone because it’s a really fun place to jump and to play other fun games like dodgeball, climb a rock wall and go down a giant slide. We would spend the evening at Scottsdale fashion square shopping and hanging out. For dinner we would most likely go to in and out burger because I love their burgers and shakes! And on Sunday we would go find a nearby farmers market to go check out all the small businesses and local food trucks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents helped me with supplying the materials and encouragement. ☺️

Five more people

(Amber Odell) she would freak when I would show her my things and has bought many things from me.

(Gina Caruso) loves all my things and is very fun, so she always asks me for cute and little unique clay things

(Jenna Belsterling) if it weren’t for her I would not be in contact with you all. She is awesome & she always makes sure if there is ever another market I can go to, she would tell my mom. That is how I found out about kids markets, with children’s entrepreneur markets in AZ.

And my Mimi AKA my grandma ( Diana Romero) she would fight with family on which painting our clay figure she gets, she loves all my things I make .

All of those people I have known since I was a baby😁

And last my best friend in the whole world (Regan Ladner) she really knows how to make me happy she tells me things for inspiration and has bought so many cute things from my market to support me 😊
