We had the good fortune of connecting with JAMES GIUNTA and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JAMES, why did you pursue a creative career?
My chosen career in the Hypnotism profession came about because of my natural inclinations, education, and my total life experience. Since childhood, my interests have always been in the Arts, and to this day that’s where my mind loves to play: music, movies, theater, books, essays, articles, and news media. Hypnotism is as much an art form as it is a science and philosophy, because each session is designed for the person in front of me. I need to see the world as they see it, and then design language that will be effective in connecting with their deeper levels of consciousness in order to influence their habits. I’m also a dedicated and passionate musician, and I spent two years creating a genre of music that hypnotizes using the same principles as a spoken hypnotic induction, and in this way I get to indulge my two great passions in Life at the same time, while helping others to master their subconscious minds. I call my method “Hyp + Note = Therapy®” and it’s also the name of the musical genre that I created. My creative career is what recharges my battery every day, fascinates me, enables me to share my gifts and passions, and it is my original expression to the world.  Having a creative career means that my work is contained within the totality of my being.  All of my ideas blend together and I have the freedom to be expressive in every area of my life.  Another thing is that this isn’t my first career.  I gave myself the gift of experimentation, so I’ve many different kinds of work in six states of the U.S.A.

What should our readers know about your business?
I became a certified hypnotherapist in 2008 and opened my practice in 2009. I became a Certified Instructor for the National Guild of Hypnotists in 2010, and a Certified Master Trainer for the International Association of Therapists in 2016. I’ve never stopped studying, learning, and teaching, and I don’t get tired of doing any of it. I find that my approach to inner transformation continues to evolve. One thing that distinguishes my work is that I provide an audio recording of each and every session so that my clients can listen to their program every night before sleep.

My practice includes individual sessions, group sessions, Hypnosis Certification classes, a fun social event called Hypnotic Movie Night, public speaking, tons of business networking, and free consultations. My public and private mission is to make sure that every person can have access to reliable information about Hypnosis, Hypnotism, and Hypnotherapy. I’m also willing to work on weekends.  My company name is Trance Formation Hypnosis LLC.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in central Phoenix. I would first take them around my neighborhood, downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale. We would drive east to the lakes, check out an old silver mind and ghost town, and then north to Route 66 and Winslow, then west Flagstaff, Sedona, and possibly Prescott. A drive to Tombstone and Bisbee. In Arizona we would eat Mexican food and I would cook a few meals for us at home. I would instruct them about hydration and why it’s more important in this dry climate. We would go to some galleries on First Friday, and also take part in the drumming circle there. I would invite them to my weekly BNI chapter meeting and introduce them to my favorite people there. Definitely a trip to the Musical Instrument Museum.  We would drive west to San Diego and the beach towns to the north, swim in the ocean and partake of fresh seafood. After a few days we would wander our way back to Phoenix, stopping at Joshua Tree National Park, and then home for a rest before I set them on their way and wished them well. They would part with some personal gifts, perhaps a cherished book from my library.

Oh, and we would also take in a movie somewhere.  On second thought, you better give me two weeks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I draw inspiration from the books “Man’s Search For Meaning” by Viktor Frankl, and “Think And Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill; the music of a few dozen jazz, rock, and 20th century composers; and from several highly influential ancestors plus my siblings, daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
