We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Thompson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting Sweet Revenge Baking Co was definitely to share my passion in creating fabulous vegan and gluten free desserts and confections for all to enjoy. Providing the ability to eat something so delicious, you forget you even have a food sensitivity. My daughter was diagnosed with Celiac at a very young age , which changed how our family prepared food at home , as well as what we experienced while trying to eat out . Seeing all the challenges she experienced while growing up was definitely my inspiration .

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I originally started Sweet Revenge Baking Co as a supplemental income, as our other business was directly affected during the pandemic. I had no idea of the impact and demand that soon generated , and soon found myself baking full time.
What makes this so wonderful are the people I encounter and how much they love my creations. Really puts things in perspective as to why I do what I do… creating vegan and gluten free desserts and confections.
It’s not only delicious, it’s better for our planet . Our vegan Wildflower “Honey” not only saves the bees , but we also donate a percentage of the proceeds to The Bee Conservancy.
All of our products and packaging used are also recyclable and reusable.
It’s just a wonderful feeling to be doing something that truly makes a difference , not only in peoples lives, but also for the planet.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother has always been a fabulous cook and baker,. growing up making fun holiday sweets became a family tradition . With my daughter being diagnosed with Celiac at a young age , we carried on these wonderful traditions.. being allergy friendly, of course.
My family has always been very supportive of my passion to create such fabulous desserts and confections for all to enjoy.
