We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy Burgett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I am a US ARMY (Retired) Combat Medic of 22 1/2 years. During that time, I had the honor of being a Combat Medic Instructor which allowed me to train the current and future generations of Combat Medics. After moving on from that assignment, I found myself always searching for ways and opportunities to continue to teach combat/tactical/wilderness medicine anywhere I could. That passion is what motivated me to start my own company in order to share my craft with all who want to learn and to try and improve our society.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
T3R Medical Training Group LLC is a US Military Veteran owned and operated medical training company that goes beyond the standard “cookie cutter” medical courses. Although we teach courses written and developed by other agencies, we have also written our own courses to Taylor to specific requests from our clientele. We have the ability to customize training courses for law enforcement SWAT teams to Farm/Ranch Homesteaders.

In the beginning we were limiting ourselves to only one student demographic which in turn limited our growth as a training company. That I believe was the hardest hurdle to jump. It was very challenging at first. Now, however, we are reaching multiple types of demographics simultaneously. Lessons learned, never limit yourself or you will not grow.

We want world to know that we are passionate about our particular type of medical craft and we do this to teach others how to be better prepared in life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Personally, I am partial to the scenic great outdoors and ranch lifestyle. One of the reasons why I teach wilderness first aid. I don’t really have a “favorite” place. I try to find the good and beauty in all the places I visit.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Ralph Blue, Owner & Senior Instructor of BluScorpion Protection LLC.

Like me, Blue is also US Army Retired and was my mentor and coach in standing up my company. We are now business affiliates and often team up to teach combo courses relating to firearm and medical trauma training.
