Hi Jermell & Alexis, what makes you happy? Why?
True happiness only comes from God. Since we have been here in Arizona, we have gone through a process of being directed by God to obey Him in all things, particularly in our gifts, talents, and careers. Throughout this process, we have found that we are most happy when we are in alignment with our God given purpose, which is our call from God, placed on our lives. We are happy to serve God, and through His grace we have been tasked to serve Him, by ministering to others at His command, through sharing God’s testimony, revelation, and truth. As ministers, we profess God openly and walk out our faith in total obedience to God. Each and every person on this earth is given a very specific calling from God. In addition to their calling, they are given gifts and talents to support their call. Both of us have come from backgrounds, where we have previously chosen to serve our country and the public’s interests. Jermell Carter comes from a military and law enforcement background, and Alexis Carter is a former educator. For years, we worked in fields that required us to interact with people on a daily basis. We often found ourselves helping and assisting several individuals and families. This was rewarding at times, however we did not have the same satisfaction or fulfillment as we do now.

Several years ago our lives shifted after we submitted to God and His kingdom intentions for full time ministry. It was after, that we noticed how God’s desires became our own desires. As full time ministers, we have had the opportunity to impact the lives of several people in a different capacity. We have prayed, counseled, encouraged, and taught God’s people His way. We have been blown away by the impact of these things. We have seen and experienced miracles personally and in the lives of others we have encountered through ministry. We had to learn how to walk out our faith in total obedience, as God taught us how to trust Him wholeheartedly.

Several years ago, we read this Bible scripture from Ecclesiastes 5:19, which states, “Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God.” When we initially read this scripture, we were successful in our former careers, but not completely happy. However, as we have stepped into our ministerial calling from God, the Lord Jesus Christ took our experiences as public servants and fined tuned us into becoming Kingdom servants of God. It was then that we found our true calling and purpose, which enabled us to be truly happy and find more joy and fulfillment as we have gone down God’s chosen path for our lives, being fulfilled in purpose. Moving forward along the path has not been easy, as God commands His servants to take the straight and narrow path towards His righteousness. Moreover, as we have been graced to do all that God has commanded us to do, we have chosen of our own free will, to forsake our own will, choosing instead to accept God’s will for our lives, in order to truly submit completely to His will. So, in summary, the happiness that we feel is a complete gift from God, one that could only be obtained through total submission to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, especially as we move forward advancing God’s Kingdom, which is our life’s purpose.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
God has specifically called us to partner with Him in ministry. This may seem like a given while on this journey, as we have moved along in ministry, however this is not the case with many people who proclaim to serve God within ministry. Obedience is our testimony and is an absolute requirement when serving God. Jesus has taught us the importance of fellowship and relationship, and the importance of including Him in all aspects of our decision-making process in ministry. He has graced us for the call of God, placed upon our lives, so therefore it has been crucial to seek Him and obey Him in all things. God revealed to us the name for His ministry in 2017. In 2019, He told us to move forward to establish His ministry legally and specifically told us where to go and whom to seek. For each ministry event, God has given us instructions as to what He wants done. All podcasts, videos, prayer intercessions, and community prayer events, have all come from God. As His servants, we have a responsibility to seek Him for how He wants us to organize each event. No decision is made without Him, we spend lots of time in prayer and intercession as a couple regarding everything.

We are where we are today, because we submitted to God and accepted the call of God on our lives and obeyed His every command. We have obeyed God, even when it seemingly did not make any sense to our natural minds. When we obey God in those seemingly impossible situations, God has always showed up miraculously for every situation. One of the greatest lessons that we have learned is to trust God and follow His lead. Many people say, that they trust God, when in reality they trust the works of their own hands and what they can do in their own ability. We have been conditioned throughout our lives to work hard and just make it happen. There is nothing wrong with that, however as a servant of God, we have to allow God room, to not only work with us and through us, but to also go before us. There have been moments of despair, where we have begged God to allow us to attempt to fix our situation within our own means, but God had other plans as He reminded us that He is with us. Therefore, God firmly reminded us that we serve Him and that He will handle all things, and in the end He did.

We are excited about the plans that God has revealed to us about His ministry. During these last couple of years, many people in our country have experienced some trying times. We have encountered people who have become fearful and despondent. Hopelessness and despair has blanketed several people and it is important for those who are feeling lost, to know and to remember, that they matter to God.

We are so excited to be able to move forward in ministry, to bear witness to all of God’s kingdom intentions for His people. For several years, we were hidden, unable to reveal God’s intentions for His ministry, as God had us to go through a season of preparation. During that season of preparation, we were tested and proven, as God used that time to test us in our obedience, validating our call to ministry for His sake. That season was in 2019 and during that time, God commanded us to write His book, The God Ruled Church. The God Ruled Church is a book of exhortation, warning, and instruction for the body of Christ. The book explores and expounds upon revealed revelation to the following questions: What does God say about His church? How is the church to function? What part do we as believers play? God’s book also speaks on the fundamentals of Christianity, sheds light on some of the inadequacies of today’s modern day church, and highlights what Jesus Christ desires for His church. We have, through guidance of the Holy Spirit, spent several months working on this book. The book was released over a year and a half after it was initially written. As God revealed the timeline for His book to be released, the publishing was delayed because of the disobedience of others, as we endured much opposition during the process of getting the book published. Therefore, this body of work is very important to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and we are very excited to see His will accomplished. After nearly a year from the book being published, God has commanded us to schedule an official book release event for February 16th of 2022, at the Queen Creek Library. We hope that everyone whom God is calling to attend His event will answer His call in obedience to His command.

In all, we are excited to see where God is taking us and even more excited to see the promises that He spoke through us, manifesting.

God has called our family to serve Him, worship Him, and live in the East Valley. We are called to have an impact in four specific cities: Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, & San Tan Valley. Should God send someone to the region for us to entertain, our itinerary would be as follows:

We have had an incredible journey so far, and we would not be where we are today, without God. As we serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, He has constantly reminded us throughout the years that He is always with us, for He will never leave us nor forsake us. Over the last several years, we have experienced many blessings, as well as great opposition, however through it all God has never left us alone. He supports us, He mentors us, He encourages us, and most important of all, He loves us.
