We had the good fortune of connecting with Jim Phan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jim, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe life is all about taking risk. Whether it’s calculated, a feeling, or on the go. Those that take risk tend to succeed more than fail in my opinion. For example, in my own life risk has played a huge factor. I packed my bags and drove all the way to the other side of the country to experience something I thought would help enhance my mental, physical, and emotional health. I was living in an area that ultimately was not where I wanted to be. So I decided to change that by relocating. And so far that risk payed off!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Without a doubt Sedona would be the first spot. The scenery and visual look of Sedona is breathtaking!
Food wise I would say Chino Bandido because it’s a one of a kind food experience you can only get in the Phoenix area.
Drinks anywhere that offer good vibes and music. Probably Scottsdale area
Hole in the Rock is another great place to visit for the scenery.
And right after Hole in the Rock visit the Desert Botanical Garden
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest inspiration is my late uncle. Without him, I wouldn’t be where I am today. My uncle always believed there was a better path for me. And in a lot of ways he not only created that path, but lead me down it. I will always appreciate his love, support, and just belief in me. In addition, I would love to give a shout-out to my best friends Javier, Alee’a, Howard for being my backbone. These people really have my back and I just can’t thank them enough.
