We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Cox and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, what is the most important factor behind your success?
When I first started my business in November 2019 the most important factor in my success was being able to work for myself and not have to be under someone else. I was so tired of working long hours and multiple jobs and being unhappy. Once I started my business I became happier. I still have long hours but now those long hours are being invested into something that I love and have passion for. Things have changed in the last couple of years and now the most important factor of my success is my family and most importantly my daughter.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started my business in November 2019 fresh out of school. I was determined to become a business owner right out of school. Started a service based beauty business with no previous clientele was a challenge in itself but I also started a business two months before the world shut down due to a pandemic. The last couple of years have not been easy to say the least. What I bring to clients during their services definitely sets me apart from others in my industry. I am results driven but I also want to make sure that my clients have the most relaxing hour that I can possibly give them. With the stress of our world right now, everyone deserves to feel great.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, I would start by taking them to the gilbert farmers market. I love this market so much because of all of the amazing vendors. You get such a wide variety of amazing products and everything is local! Such a great way to show someone from out of town what gilbert is all about. Next, I would have to take my best friend to short leash in Phoenix. They have the most amazing hot dogs and literally the best fried pickles ever. My favorite hot dog is the bear dog. It has peanut butter, bbq sauce, cracker jacks, and Gouda cheese. AMAZING!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There isn’t just one person that deserves recognition in my story. I am so lucky and literally have a village of support behind me in every decision I have made. I would like to shoutout my mom though. She is one of my biggest supporters. She has taught me to always keep going no matter how hard obstacles become.
