We had the good fortune of connecting with Karen Cummings and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Karen, what do you attribute your success to?
I’d have to say consistency and kindness.

Prioritizing consistency in everything we do – for our own brand and for our clients. Establishing consistent processes & initiatives that allow us to streamline, optimize, show value and grow.

Operating from a place of kindness seems like a given, but is rarer than you may think. Going into conversations with team members, clients, partners from a place of curiosity and a genuine desire to be of service and support is what creates a culture that people are attracted to, want to be a part of, and want to help grow.

What should our readers know about your business?
The road has not always been easy, but it’s endlessly interesting! I started an agency prior to this one, so I learned the hard way the challenges of partnerships, but had the beautiful opportunity to start fresh with Radiant and feel that we’ve done an incredible job of bringing something amazing into this space.

What sets us apart, in my opinion, is both the relationship and value we bring to our clients through our combined strategic and creative approach AND the culture we’ve created that permeates through to everyone we interact with.

I was driven to create my agency to shift the paradigm of the agency world and provide a space that marketing creatives could both love what they do AND still have a life!

We prioritize the well-being of our team and our clients and are on a mission to create a ripple effect of wellness in all that we do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My quick hit list of must-see places while here would be:

1. One of the beautiful hikes nearby! San Tan Mountains are right by our house, but it could be Superstition, Camelback, or any others!
2. A quick trip up north for some time in Sedona, Flagstaff and/or at Lake Powell (where my husband is from)!
3. A comedy show at Tempe Improv
4. A spa day at Civana
5. 5-star dinner at Kai
6. Pecan Lake Entertainment or Fat Cats for some fun with the kiddos
7. A coffee and bagel with Sidewalk Coffee
8. And a hot air ballon ride with Hot Air Expeditions!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We’re celebrating 10 years in business in November of this year and I was working on an RSVP list of individuals that have been a part of the journey – and the list just never seemed to end! I feel SO blessed!

If I had to shoutout just a few it would be my closest circle of friends and family. My husband who is always supporting me and reminding me what a strong, independent, and capable woman I am, my younger sister who is constantly reinforcing the value I have to offer, my friends who are always there to support me through the good and bad and my kids – who make it all worth doing!
