We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenopsia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenopsia, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Practice, practice, then practice some more. We recently even started recording our practice sessions to really examine every detail with scrutiny. That has been very humbling and shown us that we need to keep practicing.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One thing that’s always been important to us is that we want to be unique. There are so many different subgenres and forms of metal music that there really are endless opportunities to explore blending them in unique ways. We are exceptionally excited that our music has been well received. Being a bit all over the place, genre wise, means that most of the shows that we play aren’t necessarily the best of fits. We overcome this by trying really hard to put on a killer show, every single time. Putting a lot of effort into engaging our fans and getting to know them individually has goes a long way towards being memorable as well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would wake up and get a whole mess of breakfast food for real cheap at The Egg Connection. Then head over to Sabino Canyon with a case of Natty Lite for an easy, not too hot hike. After all that, get cleaned up then head downtown. First stop is Empire Pizza, gettin pepperoni slices and IPAs for cheap. Francisco studios around the corner for some joints and show off our practice space. About this time we can now head down to The Rialto for a metal show.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We owe the vast majority of our success to all of our fans that continually come to our shows and get all filthy for us! A big shoutout to our families as well. Thank you for allowing us to take the time we need to pursue being creative!
