We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiefer Strong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kiefer, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
We pursue an artistic and creative career, because it gives us the freedom to do what we love. It gives us a platform to reach people on a broader spectrum. Not just in material ways, but in the sounds we create, and events we host, we are able to spread love and peace through music, bringing together a community of artist of all realms.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Children Of Eden is the multi-genre, shape shifting, musical entity from La Mirada, CA. The songwriting brother duo, Michael and Chris Avila, started out as a high energy punk rock act, showcasing a synergistic, “in your face” live performance, with fantastic songs showcasing all subgenres of punk. As members came and went, the brothers continued moving forward even working together on “solo” projects. As they explored new limitations and musical stylings, the brothers odyssey led to a great catalog of songs far from what anyone could have ever expected. An eclectic, lofi hip hop/rap album “End Of Ending Days” at the end of 2022, followed by a handful of Uplifting Dance singles “Illusion” & “Delusions”, as well as the 2023 country/folk rock E.P. “Black Dog Country”, and more. Children Of Eden – “United, Devoted, We Know Where We’re Going”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Downtown Tucson Arizona, particularly the Screening Room.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Brother Mike, and I would like to give a big shout out to our grandmother Christina Serna and our Tata (Grandfather) Arthur Luis Alvarez. For buying Mikes first drum set, and for always believing in us, encouraging us, and giving us a place to play as loud as we wanted.
