Meet Krista Wissinger | Associate Broker, REALTOR®

We had the good fortune of connecting with Krista Wissinger and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Krista, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
The road to success was not an easy one, but it’s been very rewarding. You have to keep a positive state of mind and be sure to do your daily habits. Staying consistent and being proactive are key. I implemented a daily routine which has helped me with productivity and maintaining a work/life balance.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started my career in the construction industry as an employee, but I was longing for a more direct path to helping people. I was in school for nursing and I was also a fitness instructor on the side, but I felt something was missing, that I hadn’t found what lit my fire yet. On a whim I decided one day that I was going to real estate school and that is where it started. I got my salesperson’s license. With real estate I felt “at home” with my career and 4 years later I went back for my broker’s license. It wasn’t easy, but when you are driven by passion and a love for what you do, you can move mountains. You do need to ask for help when needed, I have recently started a team and recruited other agents to join. With real estate, everyone needs your help, from a $50k condo to a million dollar home, I am happy to help everyone.
I also have a passion for helping homeless animals find their forever homes. I have 4 rescue cats and a tortoise and those I can’t take in, I try to help find homes and am looking to get involved more with local rescues.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m all about the outdoors! If I wanted to entertain family or friends visiting, first we would start with Douglas Spring Trailhead. It has multiple hiking trails to choose from. You can spend a couple hours or all day, depending on your experience. After the hike, we would go to Saguaro Corners for lunch. They have variety in their menu and patio views of the Rincon Mountains while enjoying a cocktail. We would be sure to take a trip up to Mount Lemmon as well. When there is enough snow, there is skiing, but you can also take advantage of their hiking trails, rock climbing, camping and cabins for rent and restaurants. Anywhere you can take in the natural beauty of the desert here is worth checking out!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, Travis is the person who has helped me become who I am today. Since the day we first started dating, he always encouraged me to see the value in myself and when I tried to settle for less, he wouldn’t let me. He has believed in me when no one else did and has always been my biggest cheerleader along with our children. I also have the support of my brokerage, where we are made to feel more like a family than a real estate company.
