We had the good fortune of connecting with La’Quesha Klines and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi La’Quesha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My desire to start a business is credited to my Pastor and now business mentor. He really has a passion for helping people seek after their full potential. Once I caught the right image, I knew fashion was the right avenue. Initially I really just wanted to dress my two boys in really cool bow ties for church,but since then it has flourished Into an amazing accessory line for the entire family.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am currently a CNA for Hospice Of The Valley, which allows you to give a special kind of care. To be able to be with someone who may have no one at such a critical time in their life is an honor. I am currently studying to become a Chaplain at LifePoint Christian University, what a great school! Check it out! I really owe all my success to God, I am truly blessed. I am most proud to be a Child of God,Student, business owner but most of all being a Mom! My thriving business has been successful, I believe because of the Mentorship I have received and my willingness to work hard and never give up. Bows N Ties is a product of all my hard work and dedication to my vision to become a successful business operative. Was it easy? No Way! But I’ve had more successful days than not, and no matter how hard things seemed to be you must keep going. You must stay committed to your vision and disciplined enough to keep going even when you don’t feel like it. Behind Bows N Ties is a strong Woman pushing beyond the beliefs of myself, who once believed she wasn’t good enough or couldn’t become a business owner, I’m showing myself that I can and I will. I want Women like myself to know that they are not alone and regardless of the their past Life, that is not their present. You have the authority to change it all! Be great and take a chance on yourself!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
You cannot come to Arizona and not eat at Pappadeaux and the rolls from Texas road house will change your life! I would recommend a fun bowling ally to strike up some fun and a great hiking trail. Sitting at a coffee shop with a good book Is my idea of a great Saturday morning and Sunday attend the best Church in town Stonepoint Community Church.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I moved here from California in 2017 and was invited to Stonepoint Community Church, who is Pastored By Pastor Gene Herndon. His level of teaching is impeccable and gives you such a great desire to be the best you. He is also the CEO & Success Mentor of Leadership Uncensored which gives you the tools, clarity and confidence to level up your leadership. He has given so many God ideas for my business, pushed me beyond my own capabilities. It’s a honor to be under such great leadership, and because of it my business prospers. My Mentor is also an author and my favorite book would be “Identity” It has created a new mindset in me and gives me the courage to take my success to the next level.
