We had the good fortune of connecting with Latrice Curtis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Latrice, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to bring joy and laughter to children will learning and exploring different whys to bring out there imagination – I remember having to play by myself being the only child when I didn’t have family around; which brought out my imaginative side. The process of the business was showing and allowing children to be creative and build skills at the same time. Our baking boxes allow children to measure the different contents in the box while given them independence where our craft jars allow children to go wild with there creative side with several supplies that is chosen for them

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have been in the medical field for more then 30 yrs – I’ve worked in several hospitals/family practices offices and specialist Dr billing. I started while in high school and still at it. I think what set me apart from the rest I like a challenge myself ill set a goal and go after it with all of have and I’m realistic person. I’m really proud that I went back to collage with two children. One in middle school and the other in 1st grade with extra actives and 40hr of work; I took the challenge and graduated with a bachelors degree. It took a lot of determination and a lot of sleepless night but nothing never easy when your so passionate about your dreams – Running your own business is having patients and to do your due diligence.

I am a vibrate, outspoken, funny creative person. My goal is to bring families together to share long lasting memories as well as bringing communities to expand conversations and to strengthen relationship.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I don’t have one specials person – I do have a lot of strong minded women that I’ve been around and kind of foster some of there strengths and a few positive friends that’s been there to lend a listen ear and given some great feedback. These are the group of ladies that i appreciated and I give thanks too
