We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Dellutri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think hard work is the answer to Success. Many people don’t want or can’t put in the time and effort it takes excel in a career. There are so many components to being successful. You have to find a mentor, work harder than average, and find that one thing that is trending or appealing to the market you are pitching to.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what I am most proud about is I was able to support my family while doing things that I loved. My story is a Cinderella story as I started on my hands and knees cleaning houses. I soon grew a commercial cleaning business that serviced 4 states. Not soon after, I was able to become a consultant to one of the largest distributors of cleaning products. That catapulted me into a consultant, teacher doing training seminars for cleaning businesses at local community colleges, to a spokesperson, and my “Speed Cleaning 101” book deal,

Eventually, I sold the cleaning business to a competitor and went full throttle, as a spokesperson, The Spokesperson title required hiring an agent, he started pitching me right away and he was able to close some wonderful spokesperson contracts.

I have had the honor of being on ABC THE VIEW, CBS THE EARLY SHOW, DISCOVERY CHANNEL, HGTV, and so many local TV stations in top 10 markets. 100’s of television appearances that spanned 20 years.

When influencers hit the market, it took a twist in the spokesperson arena.
Many clients were excited to try the new emerging market of influencers. At the time, I learned to reinvent myself, and I set up a TV studio in my home.

Important lesson, you always have to be growing and changing your brand or it will be hard to survive the market changes.

Being on the road was challenging, while I was raising my children. It was tough on them and me.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Don Aslett deserves a shoutout! When I first emailed Don Aslett (Author of 30+ books) I didn’t know if I would get a response. I saw he traveled and did Cleaning seminars, so I 100% coordinated a seminar in Omaha, Nebraska where I lived, to get him there.

The time spent in the car picking him up at the airport, meeting him for breakfast was priceless. He became a mentor and friend and helped my career greatly by introducing me to the Home and Garden Shows, which included media ground tours on television at radio stations and at local newspaper outlets. This took my brand to a new level, and I was able to earn amazing income. His assistance was life changing.

Brian Santos, The Wall Wizard from Tampa Bay, also deserves a shout out! He not only helped me with a book deal with Meredith books but he also, helped me on stage at shows, and taught me timing, comedy and excellent communication skills.
His assistance was life changing and the book catapulted me into a spokesperson arena for clients like Swiffer, Shark, Frigidaire, LG and many more.

Both men, were the most incredible mentors. For that, I am forever grateful.
