We had the good fortune of connecting with Lavetti Vegas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lavetti, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision I’ve had to make was going part time at my full-time job to pursue comedy. It’s a tough thing to do. I love my job and love what I do. It’s a hard thing to do when you are chasing your dream

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started stand up in 2019. It was a very nervous but great feeling. From there, I have been in love with it ever since. It took practice and consistence to get where I’m at today. I’m still working on getting where I want to be. I had to get over the challenges of people not laughing. That’s hard if you have no funny material. Over time, things got better. I’ve learned to never quit and just keep going. I want the world to know that I’ll never quit chasing my dream. Ever.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend came to visit from out of town, the first spot we would eat is Time Out Chicken. Best chicken in Omaha. We would hang out in Aksarben. Its a nice area with a few spots to hang out at. Nebraska Outlet Mall is a nice place to go for shopping and the downtown life in Omaha is great and simple

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to the guy I tried to help go on stage and he didn’t go up, so I had to. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t even be doing stand-up comedy. I wouldn’t. My grandma for always telling me to go after my dream
