We had the good fortune of connecting with Lena Marie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lena, why did you pursue a creative career?
It actually just fell into my lap as people started asking to purchase art or medicine from me; things I created out of a personal need.

The art I create is purely intuitive and expressive, my own personal therapy.

My love for plants and passion for naturopathy lead me into taking charge of my own health by researching my local flora and fauna and their medicinal uses, then teaching myself how to utilize them. As my personal apothecary grew, I crossed paths with many people who would be in need of something I carried.

My passions I pursued turned into the creation of many things that I’m blessed to share with others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Creative expression is one of the most important keys to finding your passion, exploring your identity and deepening your relationship with yourself and how you express that innermost you.

I am an intuitive multi-media artist and performer and without either of those things my life would feel dull and I would be a well of pent up emotion. It’s how I manage everything inside of me, and you see that in my art as the styles and mediums vary greatly.

By sharing my art with others and encouraging my clients to find their own personal creative outlet, I hope to re-ignite that spark where it’s fizzled and add fuel to the ones already burning bright. My only true goal is to inspire growth, change and fearless expression of whatever makes you shine!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to my favorite boulder in the woods to catch the sunset and drink a beer. It’s Flagstaff after all.. let’s enjoy the great outdoors!

After that I would take them to the taco place inside Southside Tavern for some fire birria.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
One of the most pivotal characters in my story is my teacher/mentor Mara Clear Spring Cook. She taught me how to use my gifts of telepathy to astral travel and communicate with the multi-verse which lead to my own deep shedding and healing through many years of hard work and dedication. I gained a mastery over my strengths and abilities, so that I may use them to serve my community in even bigger ways!
