Meet Lindsay Mozena-Krater | Real Estate Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsay Mozena-Krater and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lindsay, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
At a young age I was an athlete and the discipline and focus I learned have really. helped me as an adult. When you own your own business, it is easy to get distracted and focus on things that don’t produce an income. Early on in my career I developed a habit of making sure I spent time every single day on connecting with people in my database. In the beginning it required a lot of discipline, especially since I typically have the attention span of a squirrel. I had to start slowly working my way up now to spending at least an hour every single day. What used to require energy and discipline I now look forward to. I give everyone I connect with my sole, undivided attention and pour my focus into connecting and sustaining those relationships. What used to require discipline is now a soothing balm for my soul and I look forward every day to connecting with those around me. As a referral based business, I found that growing organically has been the best way for me to continue being an authentic spiritual based entrepreneur.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started the Vista group Real Estate team in 2017 with a vision that to change someones view is to change their life. We have been housed at Realty One Group since October, 2018. Since then, we’ve remained small and true to our values. I wanted to remain a referral based business that grows organically. There is a lot of pressure for teams to grow and provide leads, but that isn’t something I envisioned for my business or my life. I didn’t want to be a churn and burn operation. I wanted to be a heart led business. Through the years I’ve grown expanding from Residential Services and offering a wide array of Land and Commercial Services. The market has been shifting and I wanted to be able to offer my clients a one-stop shop experience where they could come to me for their house or business needs and here we are! I’ve tried to lead my business intuitively and from the heart so every decision I have made has been a heart focused decision, which sometimes works out great and other times I have been burned by taking on clients or agents that didn’t fit with our values and mission. I’ve had to learn to put firm boundaries in place and that sometimes saying no to one thing opens the doors to something else even better. When I started this journey, I was a single mom raising two kids and I’ve truly enjoyed every step of the way. I truly believe that serving others and the community is integral to life and I am active in our community. Tour de Force and PACC911 are two charities I’ve made donations to since their mission aligns with mine. For 5 years (4 partnered with local businesses) I’ve held the Coats for Kids Charity Drive where we collect gently used or new coats for the kids housed at UMOM shelters who are experiencing homelessness. Since it’s inception, we’ve been able to provide over 500 coats to those in need. I can’t wait to how many we contribute this year as we wind down our drive on 11/30. I love being able to provide a little warmth during the holiday season and am grateful for such an amazing community who supports this endeavor every year.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am an adventure and art lover so my itinerary would be packed full. I would stay at the Wild Horse Pass resort which is tucked away in the desert South of Phoenix. I’d go for a sunrise horse back ride and spend the day at the Aji Spa getting pampered. The second day we’d take a stroll through Old Town Scottsdale, taking in the art galleries and stores and have brunch at Schoomze. After brunch we would visit Cosanti Originals in Paradise Valley, this unique gem that is an Art Gallery. The third day we would explore downtown Phoenix and check out some of favorite spots like Frances, For the People, Copper Star Coffee. Then we would head into downtown Phoenix for attend a show at the Phoenix Symphony followed by dinner at Durants. The fourth day we would take a day trip to Sedona and go for a hike or mountain biking at Cathedral rock, meditating at the vortex, and grabbing lunch in downtown Sedona before we head back to the valley. The last day would be spent on a slow stroll through the Phoenix Botanical gardens followed by relaxing back at the pools at Wild Horse Resort.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My kids! They are my everything. In 2014 I launched into life as an entrepreneur and never looked backed. My kids have served as my biggest inspiration, being able to have a schedule that allowed me to be present was my biggest ambition and this has allowed me to do that. I have had some amazing mentors along the way too from Shane Dodd my broker, Christian Giles in Commercial, Tammy Zambrana my close friend and biggest cheerleader since the first day, my husband- Vincent Krater- who has helped me hold the vision. I couldn’t do it without my tribe and for that I am forever grateful.
