Hi Luis, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
In my opinion, the things that have helped me the most in my business are discipline and relationships. Sometimes, we don’t realize the power of relationships. It’s common to feel tired from work and not attend many events or invitations from friends to go out for dinner, celebrate a birthday, or engage in activities unrelated to work. However, when one steps out of their business and starts connecting with other people, there’s always the inevitable question, “What do you do?” That’s where I’ve found a lot of opportunities and have ended up in companies and places I never imagined. All these social events provide a great stage to showcase our work.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Maquila Digital was born with the intention of enhancing the image of companies in our city in all aspects, including graphic design, branding, photography, and websites. Our journey has led us to clients we never imagined having and various business models, ranging from automotive and gastronomy to furniture, medicine, and many more. However, undoubtedly, what we enjoy the most is working with sports. It may sound a bit cliché, but the moment we started doing what we love, our company began to thrive even more. That’s the advice I could give to everyone: do things with discipline, passion, and love.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I would definitely take them to a nature reserve for hiking. A nature walk is an excellent way to meet people outside the noise of the city, engage in physical activity, and have great conversations. After that, my motto is “You need to earn your beers” Once you’ve done the exercise, you’ve earned a couple of beers and a good meal. I’m the kind of person who enjoys sampling local food and drinks, getting to know a city through its gastronomy.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank each and every person who believed in me – clients, friends, family, and especially my collaborators. All those individuals who always believed in my words and continue to stand by me in every step we take as a creative agency.
