We had the good fortune of connecting with Maddi Stoltman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maddi, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, I wanted to have the adventure of trying something new and learning along the way!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When I started Level Up I wanted to create a community, not just a clothing brand. Level Up is a visual reminder that “when you hit rock bottom, there’s nowhere to go but up. You Level Up, get better, get stronger because of the hard things life throws at you”. I hope women feel that message when they wear our clothing! Every day I hope to grow the Level Up family and encourage positivity, motivation, and support of cowgirls in all walks of life. When it comes to ‘where I am today’ in my business I still feel that I’m so far from where I want to be, but have to remind myself of where this all started…with a box of 12 ball caps! Now we have a growing community, a whole product line of really fun and unique tee designs and every day it gets bigger and better!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Arizona is such a unique state. We are close to Morristown and I always enjoy taking friends out to the desert on horses to see the cacti. Even if you see them daily those saguaros are a sight to see!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have received a lot of support and I’m so grateful for it, my friends and family buy my products and model for my brand and have always been behind whatever I do! I also have become friends with the owner of the company who screen print all my products (Bobbi Brooks) and she has been so helpful and encouraging in so many ways, I admire her as a business person and am so grateful for all the guidance and encouragement she has given me!
