Meet Matthew Diana | Musician, Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, Content Creator, Investor, Lender

We had the good fortune of connecting with Matthew Diana and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Matthew, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to create a business because the things I was doing to help people needed to reach more of them. I also realized I wanted to have complete focus on it so I could give my best so making an income off of it would have to be priority. It’s hard when your distracted with other things when you need to be focused on the things that mean the most to you and give your life purpose.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve always been a musician, first started off as a drummer and then went into the role of a singer. It’s funny because my birth card had a baby with a mohawk screaming into a microphone and that is still what I do today. What sets me apart is that I hold myself to a standard that everything I say and or sing has deep meaning. That my music provokes deep thought, positivity, inspiration, motivation, and hope. As of right now, one of my proudest moments was the band getting signed and being on an awesome record label. We we’re able to tour for 2 years straight and create memories I will never forget. What I’m excited about is all the new music I have coming out and knowing myself that I will never stop, it’s truly what makes me happy and what makes me, well me. It was extremely hard to get your band signed and we went through hell getting there but the best advice I could give is nothing giving up, never stop believing, and continue to better yourself in your craft. This made it a whole lot easier to get through all the hardships and challenges. There’s too many lessons I have learned to list but one that sticks out is always be humble, grateful, appreciative, and loving. All the world needs to know that if they’re running low on hope that I or someone else is always there to provide it. Also, that I have more music on the way and more hope to give. I’m never stopping.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in downtown phoenix so I would take them to all my favorite spots. First, it would be Muscle Factory Gym in Tempe to get an awesome lift in. Then it would be going back to my apartments (Ave Phoenix Terra) to hit the jacuzzi and recover. After that, I’d take them to a restaurant like Joyride, Beach House, Federal Pizza, and or some others but there’s so many good spots out here. After that if we felt like getting some drinks, I’d take them to all the coolest bars like Ziggys Pinball Bar, Gracies Tax Bar, Quartz, and a handful of others. If we weren’t drinking, just walking around downtown would be cool or taking scooters. There’s also some cool indoor mini put spots and businesses that you can play pool, darts, and etc. Some of the coolest places are the hiking trails like camelback and Piestewa. Dog parks are fun too, I’m a big dog person and love my pug, so maybe spend sometime doing that and loving my little guy. Not too mention some cool vintage stores and farmers markets all over town. Lastly, if they were a coffee person, in the morning I’d take them to lux, the coffee builders, or lolas. They all have great coffee and treats!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout would have to go my family, friends, loved ones, supporters, mentors, and motivators. If it wasn’t for all of them I wouldn’t be where I am today and I wouldn’t have as much strength as I do now. You always have to believe in yourself first but once you do, there’s nothing more important than sharing who you are and always working towards being the best version of yourself with all the people that mean the most to you.
