We had the good fortune of connecting with Max Tenin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Max, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
When we think of the community or the world, we are really thinking about the collection of individuals within a society. So when we are thinking about helping a community or a society, it starts with how we engage the community or society ourselves. No matter what job you do, when you get up early in the morning and bring your best, you ultimately add something positive to the world around you. So, whether you stock shelves, cook food, or make real estate transactions better and more efficient, you are adding something to the community on the individual level. So, when I go and assist people in the real estate space, I know that I am adding something to the world by giving my best.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What I believe sets me apart in business is how I can take what has worked historically and combine that with the newest technology and integrate that with the platforms that will define our age. I believe in strong ethics and doing things right. Whether that is standing up to shake someone’s hand or looking someone in the eyes when they are speaking, I give credence to the ideas of collaboration and mutual respect. In the digital age, we sometimes overlook the fundamentals of what actually makes a business run – and that is people. I believe putting people first is essential and any technology or gadget is supplementary. What I bring to the table is timeless professionalism combined with new ways of innovation, and so far, I believe that has been working.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Even though I work hard, I’m no stranger to a good time. So, if I had a friend coming into town, I would definitely know the spots to show them. Being as close as we are to the border, it would be a crime not to show them some great authentic Mexican restaurants we have around town. If we were looking for something with a little flare, I would show them, Toca Madera. If we wanted something a little bit more casual, I’d recommend going to Juan Jaimes. If we wanted something in between, I would recommend Jalapeno Inferno. But aside from food, there are many other great places to check out across town. If we wanted to go out, I would recommend bowling downtown at Cham Pang Lanes and then check out some other great spots around the block, like The Churchill. If we wanted to do something during the day, I would have them check out the Botanical Gardens or go on a hike up Camelback Mountain. What’s great about the valley is that there is so much to do no matter what sort of things you like.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
If there were one person I would like to give credit or recognition to, that would be Darren Tackett. I’ve known Darren since I started in Real Estate, and his expertise and mentorship in the field have provided so much valuable insight to me that it has allowed me to do the same for others. Darren is truly a stand-up guy and deserves a ton of credit for everything he does.
