Meet Michael Diamond | Founder and President

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Diamond and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, how did you come up with the idea for your business?

OUR STORY

Founded by Michael Diamond, after a vision of wanting to give back to the charities he grew up serving, FTK was incorporated in June of 2019. Shortly after, a team of young professionals was assembled with the same vision in mind. FTK started as a group of young professionals dedicated to helping our community’s youth through a series of fundraising events and initiatives. Through financial and volunteering contributions the FTK Team has been able to provide essential needs and interactive opportunities to children here in the valley.

OUR TEAM

The FTK team consists of 20 Active Members under the age of 40 working to set an example for generations to come that it is never too early to start giving back. Through many committed sponsors and donors, FTK has been able to create a sustainable fundraising foundation to support children in need. The number of volunteers, supporters, and team members has continuously grown year after year and we are always looking for individuals that want to help be part of the cause.

OUR IMPACT

Funds are raised through signature events like FTK Annual Golf Tournament, Holiday Fundraiser and Super Kids Golf Tournament. Fore The Kids has supported multiple child development organization including The Boys & Girls Clubs of Valley: Warner & Shirley Gabel Branch, Young Life, First Tee of Phoenix, Jones Gordan School and Kif1A.org. To date FTK has helped donated over $500,000 since being founded in 2019 to all these organization.

What should our readers know about your business?

Fore The Kids is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide financial support to children development organizations to ensure the youth of the greater Phoenix area reach their full potential. We offer a range of events and initiatives that promote the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication. What sets us apart from others is our unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children, through acts of volunteering and financial donations to child development organizations.

One of the things we are most proud of is the impact we have had on the lives of hundreds of children. We have seen children develop their skills, gain confidence, and become leaders in there communities. We are excited about the potential to help even more children in the future, as we continue to grow and expand our programs.

Getting to where we are today as a business has not been easy. We faced many challenges along the way, including funding constraints, limited resources, and the need to build awareness and support for our mission. However, we were able to overcome these challenges through the hard work and dedication of our volunteers and supporters. We learned that perseverance, creativity, and collaboration are essential when it comes to achieving our goals.

Through our journey, we have learned many valuable lessons, including the importance of staying focused on our mission, building strong partnerships, and always putting the needs of children first. We have also learned the power of community and the importance of building a network of like-minded individuals who share our passion for helping children succeed.

We want the world to know that Fore The Kids is more than just an organization. We are a movement that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children through the game of golf. We are committed to promoting the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication, and to providing financial and leadership support children in need. Our story is one of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, and we are excited about the potential to make an even greater impact in the future.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

If my best friend was visiting Scottsdale, AZ for a week, I would want to show them the best time possible! Here’s are some of my favorite places to eat, drink, visit, and hang out:

Breakfast at The Hash Kitchen, a popular breakfast spot with creative hashes and cocktails
Take a hot air balloon ride over the Sonoran Desert with Hot Air Expeditions
Lunch at Four Peaks Grill & Tap, a brewery and restaurant with great burgers and beer
Hike to Camelback Mountain for a beautiful view of the city
Dinner at Roaring Fork, a rustic American restaurant with a great happy hour
Drinks at Porters Western Saloon, a historic Western-style bar in old town Scottsdale.
