We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process of Steep starts with the goal of bringing tea to the United States. We specialize in high quality organic loose leaf teas, served to our consumers in a modern way. We make plant based tea lattes, elixirs, & speciality drinks. Superfoods are often mixed into our drinks to make them superior to competitors in our market. While places like Starbucks use inferior ingredients, we differentiate ourselves by our high quality standards. Starting this business takes a lot of thought into our consumer, product development, and how people benefit from us being in the community.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We set ourself apart from others from the quality of our products. We offer healthy & tasty alternatives to fast food, & take pride in the quality of our tea & coffee. Our coffee and tea are organic and we infuse superfoods into our products. We believe if you consume high quality food & drink, you give your body & brain the correct fuel it needs to be the best version of yourself in your life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I believe Arizona has many great place to see & visit, from places like Sedona, to the city like Tempe, Phoenix, & Mesa. In Tempe I would recommend spending time near Tempe Town Lake, which is only a few miles from our Tempe Steep location. I would recommend taking kayaks or peddle boats on the lake, & then swinging by local business for food & drink after. In Mesa I would visit Proof bread & Main St Harvest, which are both small businesses that play a major roll in the community! In Phoenix, a restaurant that sticks out is Giving Tree Cafe, which specializes in healthy plant based food presented in a beautiful way! Places like Sedona can be a great place to escape the city life & relax in one of the best places for weather in Arizona.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Everyone along the journey to get to this stage deserves credit. We wouldn’t be here without our customers & consumer who contribute to our business. Family & friends are the backbone to love & encouragement to constantly get up in the morning to take on the daunting task of running a business. Without the support of friends & family, our business would not be here.
