We had the good fortune of connecting with “MO” Paul Moline and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi “MO” Paul, what do you attribute your success to?
The Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation has a rich history of 50+ years. The most important factor in our success is those who have supported our sustainable growth. Without their generosity we would not be able to continue to give grants each year to multiple cancer research programs and institutions.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Over the 50+ years the Vince Lombardi Caner Foundation has been in existence, we have grown from a start up charity golf event in Wisconsin to so much more. Today, we manage multiple events each year with the proceeds raised going to help prevent, care and cure cancer. I’m excited to be taking this 50-year history of organizing one-of-a-kind charitable golf outings to Scottsdale, AZ with the new Lombardi Southwest Open! Our goal is to have 144 golfers join us at Talking Stick Golf Club on September 17, 2022 to make a difference in the fight against cancer. We decided to develop this new golf tournament in Arizona because the course is beautiful, the golf community is ever-growing, and the weather is fantastic. Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to the new Lombardi Southwest Open golf tournament at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale. There is a full breakfast buffet and mimosa bar. And, after enjoying a great day out on the course, everyone gathers for the Kick Cancer’s TAILgate Bash. It’s a fun night of dinner, drinks, dancing, raffles and more! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Vince Lombardi is the inspiration for the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. In June 1970, Coach Lombardi was diagnosed with an aggressive form of colon cancer and died just 10 weeks later on September 3 at the age of 57. His leadership skills, passion to succeed and commitment to excellence drive us all to work hard to find a cure for cancer. As a historically accomplished coach, he led teams. As a teacher, he continues to lead many more people to live life the right way.
